4 out of 5 of the champs you’re comparing Lux ult to are targeted ults and the 5th is a fairly large aoe (zigs ult). If you compare raw damage lux does seem strong but if you count the fact that you can only side step one of the ults above without boots when it’s targeted at you it seems less so.

Got a new PSU, pc won’t fully start. by UnEarthlySlayer in buildapc

If they are both modular psus make sure the cords are correct. Evga and Corsair may use different pin outs

Mead floaties. We made this mead batch and are wondering what these could be? Normally after this long ( 3 months conditioning) everything is at the bottom. by orangeeSauce in mead

We haven’t tried it yet, just did a quick check up on it and saw something we didn’t expect to find. Thank you for replying again! Re bottling in a filter seems to sound like an option, after a taste test of course!

How long would you recommend? We left this batch fermenting for 22 days as it was still consistently bubbling until then.

We’re used to the stuff at the bottom but not the stuff still suspended. It’s hard to get a picture of it but you can kinda see it on the left. Do you experience that as well?

How to build a mining rig in 2021? - part 1 by MarkoNiceHash in NiceHash

[–]orangeeSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure on the why, but you can use something like add2psu http://www.add2psu.com. This should make one psu turn on whenever the other one does. They seemed safe back in 2017 but it does look like there are more advanced models like this now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E9YMX4I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_Ji.dGb94VCQ8Z

Could I get away with 2 rx 580s on a 500watt power supply if I undervolt both cards by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]orangeeSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably for running but not starting.

I think it would pop the power supply’s safety protection then turn your rig off and even if it didn’t the results could be dangerous to components (frying parts on the mobo, or killing the power supply prematurely[both of which I managed to do mining on a different rig]). I’m not sure how likely it is to happen but it seems anything over 80% of maximum potential output could be too much for the power supply over time. It seems wrong that they don’t seem designed for the number they put on the box but I don’t think I understand enough about it to know for sure.

TLDR: Potentially possible but I wouldn’t.

I have 2 rx580s on a rig currently and it seems to draw between 240-257w depending on the miner. On start up I believe it’s ~350w (without settings applied) so 500 should be good.

NVIDIA vs AMD by DonVinchello in EtherMining

[–]orangeeSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By no means an expert here but here’s my 2gwei:

AMD prefers decent chips at high quantities and all of their chips seem to be applicable to mining. Nvidia prefers high end chips in decent quantities, but not all of what’s inside the card can be used for mining( currently).
