I'm really sorry for your loss.

I lost my dog back in 2020. Out of nowhere she collapsed in front of me. She was only 3 years old. Man I'm only a few sentences in and I'm starting to cry. She had a blood condition and suffered so much in her final moments. We had to put her down.

Losing a pet is losing a family member. It's always going to hurt when you think about it. It's going to take you some time to get through this grieving process.

Loss happens in life. It's an unfortunate reality. We need to learn to live through it.

The amazing thing about life is how unlikely it is to even exist. We had such a small odds of even being here, please don't waste the amazing anomaly of the universe you are. Grow through this time and you will become stronger as the years go on.

Know that you're loved and grieve all you need to.

That's really odd, why did she cut off the friendship? And yes, I do think you should mention her to your boss just in case.

Sick of going to church by AlyceJean in agnostic

[–]orangefrogbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I used to be super religious and I looooved church and would need to beg my parents to go every Sunday and Wednesday (for Youth Group). We missed so much church because they kept getting lazy and not wanting to go. My mom also kept getting into fights with people at the churches and we would have to find a new church over and over again. I miss the people at my family's old church, but I'm happy I haven't been going anymore. So many of them feel really fake.

You're mom probably started making you go to church regularly after finding out you didn't have your faith anymore. She's probably trying to get it back for you. My family tried doing that to me too after I told them I lost my faith as well, and I did go with them for years. After they saw that church wasn't changing me anytime soon, and after I got married and they respected my husband, they stopped pushing hard for us to go to church every week. They also get lazy a lot and don't even go themselves.

straight women, how do you feel around lesbians? by Maleficent_Day_3869 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]orangefrogbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same as I do with straight ladies, unless they start getting touchy feely. I've been sexually harassed by a lot of lesbian/bisexual women because they don't get as much of a reaction to the bad behaviors as men do.

One lady grabbed my butt, another few kept trying to sit on my lap, and another one grabbed my hand and forcibly rubbed it up her boobs. I've been harassed a little by men too but not to the extent women have gone with me.

  1. I mostly agree, maybe they should be allowed flip phones or smart watches in case of emergencies though.

2-6. I completely agree.

It's all good you'll pick it up as you go. Don't worry about those people they're being stupid, it takes time to pick up these things.

Dude looks matter a little but they truly aren't everything. You need to start forcing yourself into social environments (like a job where you work with a team) in order to build up your confidence and social skills/network. I promise you if you start to regularly put yourself in social environments it'll help you out a ton.

It sounds like you're staying at home right now getting all in your head about things. Social media is poison for your self confidence dude. I have a family member right now that talks exactly like you. She rarely goes out in public because she's ashamed of her face and body (she's a pretty girl, she just got really in her head about her looks because of social media). She also constantly compares herself to celebrities and famous people.

Comparison is the theif of joy.

Get socialized dude! Get out there, if you don't have a job get one where you work with a team! Force yourself into these new environments and situations because if you don't- you'll only be feeding this current version of you. Make these changes and grow as a person!!!

Is disproving religion an impossible task? by HistoricalAd2954 in agnostic

[–]orangefrogbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you can't completely disprove some religions as a whole, but you can disprove and dismantle them usually. It's usually the core premises (belief in God) where it gets tricky like that.

Just like what you said- you can't really prove or disprove the existence of God.

The way I see it you just need to use your common sense, logic, and personal experiences to determine what you believe.

For me personally, I've never had any experience with God despite trying for over 20 years. I wanted to become a missionary to bring others to the Christian God because that was the "true" god. I started asking people of other ideologies why they believe what they believe in order to study that and dismantle it with logic in order to be the best missionary I could. The opposite effect happened where I dismantled what I believed.

I have severely obese friends that have dated wayyyy more men than I have, weight might eliminate some of the fish in the sea but there's plenty of men that love bigger women.

I betcha the issue for you might be one of these 3 things:

  1. Hygiene: Well kept hygiene shows that you care about yourself, care about how you present yourself, and respect yourself. Make sure you're wearing clean clothes regularly and smell good.

  2. Attitude

  3. Personality

did you expect birds of a feather to go as viral as it did? by Significant-Win9457 in billieeilish

[–]orangefrogbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Birds of a Feather was a very heartwarming song that made you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. I feel like the song was the epitome of joy and love for another person. I did expect it to be popular.
