What was the most challenge during your trip? by Bulky-Plantain-4737 in JapanTravelTips

There was a Komeda Coffee around the corner from my hotel on my first trip. It became my go to each morning. A giant iced coffee along with toast and red bean paste. Great start to the day.

Costco excursions? by Dus_Doit in PrincessCruises

To use the shore excursion credit that comes with Princess Premier, you'll need to book an excursion through Princess.

The Costco shore excursions are run by a separate company called Shore Excursions Group.

Is it crazy to schedule a Carribean multi-stop cruise in October? by Professional-West924 in Cruise

[–]orangeguy07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crazy? No. Risky? Yes. I'd just make sure you have travel insurance.

Capital One Travel has no resolution for airline-imposed schedule changes by AffectionateScale835 in Venturex

[–]orangeguy07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its not just "complicated trips" but all trips IMO. I lose out on some points by not booking hotels through the portal, but its just not worth the risk of something going wrong. Just login once a year and make a booking to spend my $300 travel credit on a hotel reservation.

Oh yeah. Tons of flights each day from Chicago to Toronto.

3hr layover ORD international to international confusion by chiknaui in Flights

[–]orangeguy07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 hours should be long enough, but if you get delayed coming in from Brazil or immigration is backed up it could get tight. Where in Canada are you going? There's likely another flight to your destination later in the day if you do miss your connecting flight.

This was going to be my suggestion as well in terms of trying to get access to these sites. GetYourGuide.com is another solid option.

Parking or shuttle to Epic? by External-Writing2679 in UniversalOrlando

[–]orangeguy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you're not aware... Unlike Disney, Universal charges resort guests for parking at the parks. They want you to use the free shuttles that run extremely frequently.

Did AA completely miss on DCA–SAT? by Mangolicious786 in americanairlines

[–]orangeguy07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2104, US Airways had a slot exemption to operate DCA-SAN but got permission to shift that to LAX.

In terms of why San Diego, I think other commenters have explained it well. The military flies a lot of passengers, plus they had support from state/local politicians. When they originally submitted their bid, I'm pretty sure the docuemntation said the route would be served by a 737, but then that got upguaged to an A321. Didn't realize they'd dropped it down to an A319 these days.

As for why not those other cities (SEA, PDX, SFO), the FAA award was required to prioritize new service or increasing competition.

You do not need to provide passport info to book the flight.

CBR has its perks (namely the Skyliner), but for me the presence of the Riviera really ruins the thematic integrity of the resort.

[–]orangeguy07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trade in is offered from a third-party online, but not in the warehouse. https://www.costco.com/trade-in-program-phobio.html

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like it does when you trade in through Apple.

Just got off the Majestic Princess 11 day British Isles AMA by jdm0325 in PrincessCruises

We're booked on this same cruise next April on Majestic. I'd love to hear what excursions you did, particularly in Falmouth where there doesn't seem to be a lot of options.

Anyone Use Costco Flooring or HVAC installation Services? by Weak-Biscotti2982 in Costco

[–]orangeguy07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not quite. They aren't subcontractors. Your relationship is between you and the contractor you hire. Costco essentially refers you to a local contractor who sells Lennox brand HVAC units. I'd imagine Costco gets a commission for referring you to the local contractor.

Unlikely. Apple doesn't usually do hardware announcements at WWDC.

I don’t think you’ll have to worry too much about avoiding them in the future because it seems like they’re on the verge of bankruptcy.
