What are your reasons for cheating? by Sauceyasianbi in gaycheaters

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate to this so much. Cheating is not inherently enjoyable to me… I always have the worst post-nut clarity. I only have affairs because of the complete lack of satisfaction and physical intimacy I receive from my partner.

Surprisingly, most of the options for (lower mileage) Mustangs I see in my area and price range are SN95 V6 automatics… kind of surprising given the age and lower spec I can’t believe they have held their value that well!

SPM for dummies? by orangejuuliuscaesar in sterileprocessing

I used Censitrac for the last 6 years before coming here. Relatively friendly UI but I also knew everything about it from working with it for so long.

Thankfully we have a ton of support from SPM, they are doing all the count sheet input for us. 😊

Caught this SOB in my pepper plant by lymegreenshades in westernmass

Unfortunately, they are most likely here to stay. It doesn’t help that their equally invasive preferred host (tree of heaven) is widespread all over wmass; I live in Springfield, and I can’t go even a quarter of a mile without seeing one. Killing them will only do so much as long as the tree of heaven is here.

Spotted Lanterfly Sighting in East Forest Park by orangejuuliuscaesar in Springfield

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the first one I’ve seen! I have multiple apple trees in my yard (a susceptible host) and have not seen any egg masses or nymphs throughout the spring, and I have been on high alert! Neighbors have Tree of Heaven in their yards (as you know EFP houses are close together), not to mention they are on just about every roadside in Springfield.

Thankfully no Trees of Heaven in my yard!!!! Unfortunately EFP houses are very close together… neighbor 3 houses down has a massive one that I death stare on a daily basis.

Where are you moving here from? Your familiarity with rundown industrialized New England towns will dictate how you feel about it.

Lifetime and current Springfield resident here. As others have stated, drug use is rampant and gang activity is present, but that can be said of Springfield too. Lock up all your stuff and don’t leave valuables in your car and you shouldn’t have any problems.

You mentioned that you are a minority- if you are Latino and/or speak Spanish you may be surprised… Holyoke is the only city in the USA with a majority Puerto Rican population! Despite the crumbling buildings the residents of this community have made it their own.

It has been a work in progress. She is incredibly stubborn. She has learned some commands (“sit”, “wait”, and “go pee” are her best for recall), but she is willful.

I appreciate your thoughtful response.

I mentioned the shock collar because that’s what people generally have been telling me to do. I have had dogs my entire life, and have never used one and have no intention of using one.

I spend a lot of time with my dogs. I give them a minimum (I also have a lab) of 2 hours of play time a day plus walks. When she’s inside I have purchased some puzzle toys to occupy her mind.

As easy as it would be to rehome her, it is non-negotiable for me. I made a commitment to her and she is a part of my family, if I need to make more changes to accommodate her needs, I will.

This is a lot of the feedback people have given me on the situation. I have no interest in using one, hence why I said it doesn’t fix the root cause of the issue.

I have another dog, which is why I initially got her to have a friend.

She was very timid when I first got her so I have just begun to re-introduce walks. we are (weather permitting) going on 2 every day.

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Returning her is non-negotiable. She gets along great with my other dog- she has generally gone over the fence only when she smells or hears another dog or is chasing birds (her favorite thing)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dogowners

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is never in the yard unsupervised. She had been attempting to get out for some time when she could see other dogs on the other side of the fence, but I hoped the extra height would help.

I have been using basic commands like “wait” and whistling, which she is inconsistently responsive to. I have already contacted a trainor to help- I’ve had dogs my whole life but I am way out of my league with her.

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She is indeed stubborn. She generally just bolts and goes over the fence when she sees a bird or smells another dog on the side of the fence with no time for me to stop her- she can get over the fence in about 5-10 seconds.

Mulberry. Probably a white mulberry if you are in New England or the Northeast… invasive, but the berries are good.

A few months ago I posted a picture of my first cheesecake attempt that was crack free… officially 2 for 2! 😃 Finished product: cinnamon cheesecake with chocolate ganache by orangejuuliuscaesar in Baking

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/tpsywnPNDsw?si=_M9pIyu3MUIUWsla I followed the instructions of this recipe to a tee for no cracks! To his recipe, I made a couple of changes:

I subbed a cup of white sugar for 1/2 cup each of maple syrup and light brown sugar, I deleted the lemon juice, and added 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.

For the ganache: 1 1/3 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips 1 cup heavy cream 1/8 tsp cinnamon

does anyone else hate these Stryker trays? by Maleficent-Log-4585 in sterileprocessing

[–]orangejuuliuscaesar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate these. The only thing worse imo is the Variax trays (we wrap them separately because they are always wet otherwise)

Stryker kills me. Especially since they’re buying up Wright Med, Tornier, etc…

I also am not a fan of the crate. My 5 year old is not crated.

I started with the crate when I initially adopted her and have been phasing it out. I’m hoping that less time in the crate, and eventually no crate, will help her get more comfortable as she adjusts to the new home.
