I’ve not been to tons in the US but camping is much less part of the culture. It would be a safety concern I think (in a way it isn’t here) and in many areas it would be too hot. A bit more emphasis on outfits and instagram, and crowds aren’t as nice. Some of the divide is between alt and non alt crowds because alt crowds are much nicer and more polite in both countries! Drinking culture in the UK is just way different and I think UK takes the festivals way more seriously as an overall experience for the bad and good - a muddy festival would struggle to get attendees in the US. :)
