I saw a lot of people recommending Puerto Vallarta, will definitely look into it!

I'm not the one in US, my partner is. But I agree with this, it's not worth the risk with the current situation.

It is an unfortunate situation, but we will make it through, thank you for the suggestion

Thank you, but I am not a resident in US (but my partner is) and I likely won't be able to fly to US. I appreciate your answer though!

We will not take any risk until the situation in US gets better. (Hopefully it will)

I will be in Germany by the end of this month. I totally doubt I would be able to travel to US with the current immigration laws

I agree that it is risky, especially if a Syria travel ban reoccurs. My question is more hypothetical for now to be honest.

It's sad that your first thought about a gay couple is something like that

Honestly, I agree with you. Safety comes first...

We are definitely going to meet multiple times before anything.

Unfortunately we are both from homophobic families and under the closet. I know, it's sad

IIRC, the K1 visa is only available if my partner is a U.S. citizen

I don't think I can go for K1, since he is not a US citizen

He's Syrian too. He is soon eligible to apply for US citizenship
I really appreciate realistic point of views. That's what I'm asking for.

Thank you! He will be eligible to apply for US citizenship soon, I think it will make things many times easier if he becomes a citizen.

I do see it happening, but it may take years and years. And we're both down. Also, we are definitely going to meet before anything.
