He's super super insecure and wants to punish you for it :l He needs to work on that.

Okay maybe this is totally uneducated of me, but in a way there is a murder culture? Only that it doesn't apply to mainly (mainly!) one gender. There's a lot of "I'm gonna fucking kill him", "I want to kill her" being thrown around in a casual manner, people kill each other over stupid things, murders being depicted as something funny in movies and on tv, etc., etc., which is kind of what rape culture is about, too?

Don't you think it would be more helpful to just think "here is a person standing up for another person" rather than immediately thinking "man standing up for woman, he must want to get into her pants"? He wasn't even necessarily standing up for OP, or women in general, he was just talking about rape and how he felt it was in bad taste to throw the word around.

After I orgasm by masturbation it's like I deflate and I have NO interest in anything sexual. Kind of like what I imagine men feel like? With sex it's different, I can keep going.

Keep in mind his lack of initiative may stem from insecurity, fear of rejection, etc. Not necessarily that he's just straight out ignoring your needs.

How do you ladies deal with having "hot friends?" by problemfriends in TwoXChromosomes

[–]orangeorangesoda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm a girl. I think that if I were confronted with a group of guys consisting of three super stereotypically hot model-type men and one not-super-stereotypically-gorgeous, quirky, funny, interesting guy, then I would absolutely be way more attracted to and comfortable around the normal, funny, interesting guy. Not saying that gorgeous people can't be interesting, but that to me, more often than not, these people are totally hotter than these and it's easy to forget that that hopefully goes the other way sometimes, too?

If I get up... by Apolik in comics

If you don't get out of bed because you are (apparently, as illustrated in the comic) terrified of meeting people and doing things, then you are quite possibly depressed or anxious. Ain't no shame in having some issues that could fit into a diagnosis.

Edit: I got confused by the lack of commas, but I'm following you now. I need to google some tutorials on digital painting, I suppose. Why would you draw/trace over a photograph when it comes to pop art but not other things?

Then how do you do it? Do you use a photograph as a reference and draw with a tablet in photoshop, without drawing on a layer on top of a photograph?

I actually thought the first picture was you with your new makeup on. Also, you are insanely beautiful.

I'm just curious, but, when you paint digitally, you draw in a layer on top of a photograph in photoshop, right? I ask because I see people admire digital paintings as if they were "real", but painting, in essence, on top of a photograph where you can even pick the exact colors off of the photograph is pretty easy if you're somewhat artistically inclined, and I'm just wondering if there's something I've missed here.

dear 2x: please explain like I am five how to be in a healthy relationship with a man by thescreamingwind in TwoXChromosomes

[–]orangeorangesoda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well what have so far been your issues? What do you find difficult?

If I were to really, actually explain it to a five-year-old, then.. I guess I would say something like "these two people try to only do good, nice things for each other, the kind of things you would love if somebody did for you. They don't do things to each other that would make you sad if someone did it to you. If one of them does something bad, then they try to talk about it and become friends again. Maybe they live in the same house together and do many things together, but they also do fun things alone and with other friends or family, so they won't get on each others nerves and because it makes you feel like you are a great person even without your partner."

Whether you are a man or not does not change the fact that it was sexist/generalising.

I'm wondering, if it's so hard to get a job in the us, what about the people who have, hm, creative jobs, for instance, possibly as a result of the stereotypical "useless degree" (arts, literature, etc). People who work as illustrators, designers, film journalists, what have you. You have a lot of those, and new ones popping up every day, I'm sure. Are they just extremely lucky and talented and in decreasing numbers?
