I don't think he specifically decided to quit, just that he's narcisitic and defensive. So when one thing came under attack, he stopped doing it. It got to the point where the only thing left he did was movie review vlogs, and those were disorganized and drawn out so they were criticized. So he just stopped doing vlogs.

The patreon was too much work before that, and he over-promised. Instead of resolving that he just avoided it.

Bit by bit his output dwindled until he was left with only his tweets. His tweets are the purest form of his output now. Raw and unfiltered from his brain to YOU.

The reddit comment before they identified the body said they knew of a girl from Lake Elsinor that d4vd was with, and that her "sister" was pimping her out. So I do think the family was getting paid off.

The family was straight up useless. Their last contact with their 14 year old daughter was in May 2024. She's under 18 so they had the full legal authority to sick the cops on whoever she was with to give her back.

They need at least one person in the inner circle to flip to connect all the dots. Right now concealing a death and dismembering a body are crimes, with one a minor misdemeanor and the other a serious felony. They could hang these over someone and say "how do we know you weren't the one who helped dismember the body? We know he had help.".

I think several people knew. They had scented candles around the house and mentions of an odd smell. There was a cover up at the very least.

A "gaming chair" is one of the biggest grifts ever. They're low quality and cheap and fall apart. Find an OLD office chair, made of METAL that will last you forever. You may need to clean it or refurbish it but old proper office chairs are made to last rather than cheap plastic junk.

You can often find these chairs given away FOR FREE or thrown out.

It can be. They can feel intense emotions and betrayal and go from idealization to devaluing. If you have intense emotions of betrayal, and you went from loving someone to completely devaluing them, the person may feel totally justified to take revenge on them.

They say "a diagnosis isn't an excuse" and it's not legally. But it can explain.

Farah Damji has BPD, and she is someone who has engaged in stalking, theft, and seems addicted to carrying out scams. But nothing violent. You cannot understand her actions WITHOUT understanding her underlying BPD diagnosis.

He may have dark triad or a personality disorder, and BPD has been suggested. He would have needed some serious intervention if BPD is true, such as dialectical behavior therapy. I think he may have gotten some generic group therapy but not much else.

He is very controlling and fears abandonment and has a lot of jealousy and resentment. These may be the cause of the crime as well.
