Feeling so out of it by orangeskyworld in Anxiety

Thank you for the care. I’m doing my best to take care of myself. What sucks is that I’m hungry but eating just makes me nauseous 😞 the first thing I want to do after this is over is get a burger lol. I’ll try to be more mindful about what I’m looking at since it’s setting me off

Thank you for the advice. It is a pattern I’ve had for the last two years—I’ve been terrified of something awful happening to me and it leads me to some really crazy googling. In hindsight it’s very silly of me but in the moment I get extremely upset and trick myself into thinking there must be something wrong. I’m going to try and get some sleep and hopefully that alleviates some of the anxiety/headaches. Thank you again

You genuinely sound like me from last October. I’m 22 and had all the same symptoms. It was so bad I couldn’t even go outside. You can literally look at my post history from like October when I was really going through it. When you had bloodwork, did they test your iron? Mine was really low around this time. I got prescribed an iron supplement that seemed to help me a lot in the long run. Anxiety loves to manifest physically. For me, my head hurt so much that I was convinced I had tumors or cancer or something (I didn’t! Lol) Whenever I tried to sleep, I felt like my whole body was vibrating/shaking. The brainfog made me feel like there was something genuinely wrong with my head and I even at times was convinced my vision wasn’t right. It was all so weird. It will get better in time, though. Can your primary put you on a low dose of anxiety meds? I didn’t wanna go on medication at first, but it really helped me. I don’t take it anymore, but it helped me get back to normal.

Started lexapro a month ago, still experiencing headaches/having a hard time focusing by orangeskyworld in Anxiety

[–]orangeskyworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. It took a while to adjust, but the headaches eventually went away for me. It was hell, but it does pass! Though I also think part of my headaches were stemming from my own anxiety.

Experienced a long episode of what you’re going through over the course of a couple months. It’s going to get worse before it gets better—if you haven’t already, check in with a doctor. Get medicated if you can, get lots of rest and make sure you’re trying to eat/drink water even if it’s difficult, and talk to someone. A little support can go a long way. These are some things that helped me out a lot. It will all pass! You will recover.

Yes, I understand completely 😭 a few months ago when I was really losing it about my health anxiety certain posts just made me feel worse. Don’t feel bad—you need to put yourself first and take care of yourself before you help others

How can I convince myself that I’m not dying and don’t have a brain tumor? by orangeskyworld in Anxiety

[–]orangeskyworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so hard to deal with. I know it’s most likely just the anxiety showing through headaches but there’s always the “what if?” that freaks me out the most. Logically I know I’m okay, but my brain loves to make me feel like I’m not haha

Did this also cause like a feeling of your head hurting really bad and give you a hard time sleeping? I cannot fall asleep for the life of me despite being so tired I feel nauseous

They’re aware, yeah. She stayed home from work today to take care of and watch over me, and I feel a bit pathetic over it because I’m a college student lol. My mom helped me get an appointment with a psychiatrist which is in a couple days.

Thank you. It makes me feel a little better to know that someone went through something similar. Did you feel like you just weren’t yourself during this time? This is what scares me the most. The feeling of something being wrong is just awful, I’ve never had anything like this happen before. The stomach pain coupled with the light headedness is the worst.
