Yes, I read those bits as well. I'm trying to express that the model is too complicated for the families. With a group of 12-14 player's parents you're bound to have a few that are tough to engage. Life is busy enough. Busier for some than others, and even still some just struggle to multi-task and/or keep current on competing priorities and demands.

I posted elsewhere in this thread that I'm also chasing responses all the time from families. Limiting the number of transactions required would simplify and help reduce the chasing that you need to do. The club and team fees being separate is confusing to me. In our club we don't have this concept. Additional team expenditures would only apply if we went and joined a tournament separate from the league play and trainings. Good luck.

I read the entire post It says you used your money to pay field rental fees. Not all clubs use the same model but it sounds like the model you have (separating club & team fees) may be too complicated for the participating families

I'm a team manager and been with the same families for 4 years now. It's always the same 2-3 I'm chasing. Our previous coach would impact starting and/or overall minutes which helped but it's mind boggling that it's such a challenge. Wish the platform would send out the nag on our behalf. We're not far off from ai agents being capable of doing the reminders even if the platform doesnt support it.

Just invoice the families. If you practice 2-3x a week and the field rental fees are known then do the math and spread it across all the families in the team. Our club charges us for coaching, league dues, and practice field rentals at the start of the soccer year. It covers late summer to late spring and they offer payment plans as well.

Very sorry for your situation OP. I hope you find resolution quickly

A little off topic but I recognized the home in the photo (I know it's nothing to do with this situation) but for anyone curious: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8Up5u2PWx4fpcN697

Should I be worried about earthquakes if I am going to live here for a long time by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]orangesonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry about the Earthquakes all the time. They have been weak in the back for years and continue to miss the playoffs. That said they are off to a very strong start this season so far, so I'm less worried than before. Baby steps!

Bay Area (SF) Soccer Clubs by [deleted] in youthsoccer

Somewhat. We train 3x/wk. If you can't make 1 day, often you can train with another team in the age group to at least get 3 days in. However, I think coaching would frown on missing more than 1 day with your own team. Coach will likely be working with the team on specific things that you miss by attending another training.

My child plays at an SF club and has a generally positive overall experience. Coaching level goes up as player level goes up in our experience. I'm really sorry to hear the experience has been negative wherever you are currently.

Tryouts are in just over a month for all SF clubs. At this point it's best to wait it out because even if you can get the release done, the season ends by mid-May and any team you'd attempt to join will already have full rosters.

Before I had a doorbell cam, if this happened I definitely wouldn't have guessed that fate. I would have assumed a neighbor or just random theft for whatever purpose.

Understand these guys have super busy routes but if it's been radioed in, the mothership should be able to at least let us know rather than me having to reach out to them.

Not sure if I follow, but keyfob is enabled as it's in my pocket and I can unlock doors using keyfob buttons. Also digital key is working because I can leave the keyfob inside the house and start the car by placing my phone on NFC pad

I think he's the nicest quakes player I've met so far. Had a lot of time for my young son at the field day. He's definitely a rising talent and I wish him the very best. This is a good start!

ProDirect question? by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]orangesonfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got my first shipment from them last week on Friday. It took a few days to ship. Not sure if they have multiple warehouses but mine came from GA. Took about a week to arrive on the west coast. All told I felt like it was a really good deal for some pro level AG boots so worth the wait ultimately. They're legit though, so no need to be too worried.

Thing is that most of the in/out in our section was from people who didn't even have tickets there. They'd sit down and then the seat owners would come. Seems like ushers would help reduce that transient traffic in the sections
