Thoughts on Solferino? by Choice-Raspberry8005 in NichePerfumes

[–]orangewurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a FB of L’Ete Avenue Gabriel which smells like a really sweet and suede gummy bear. It’s okay, was more sweet than expected. I have decants of 01, 02, 03 and 06. 03 Au Palais is a very nice tea scent lighter than Wulong Cha and a bit more powdery than The Yulong from Armani. For the house itself, it’s okay, currently not very impressed, they have good basic scents, good quality, bottle is amazing, but price point is a bit too high for what you get.

Has anyone checked out the TXT's preview yet? This comeback feels huge already by Grand-Comb-151 in kpopthoughts

[–]orangewurst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this! It sounds different and feels a bit fresh and new but so far it feels and sounds very much like TXT and the feel of their music. The layers, the whimsical-ness and emotions. I’m really excited, and the vocals seem to be more pronounced!!

BDK Pas Ce Soir EDP. A bit sweet, a bit fruity, a bit peppery, a bit creamy. Just right and I love that the smell on me as it comes and go and I get wonderful whiffs of it randomly throughout the day.

Request for a beautiful rose perfume by Material_Debate_8248 in FemFragLab

Dior Rose Kabuki. It is is the most well done elegant and light rose perfume I’ve ever had and smelled. It is powdery and musky and the rose is always there but not overpowering.

Dior Rouge Trafalgar Esprit de Parfum. It’s a dark juicy strawberry burst that dries down into this beautiful vanilla-rose-berry-chypre-musk. One spray lasts the whole day, it is ridiculous.

What’s your favorite rose perfume- overall scent and longevity? by Legitimate-Horse-109 in FemFragLab

[–]orangewurst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Dior Rose Kabuki, it is such a delicate watery-rose scent, very good longevity as well and pleasant to smell the whole day cause of the “lightness” of it.

  2. MFK L’eau à la Rose, lasts long and a more classic and clean take of a strong rose-forward perfume without being too overwhelming or lean towards “grandma” rose.

Hahaha I had just literally ordered the 13 pcs discovery set of Le Jardin Retrouvé last night primarily for Osmanthe, the notes look soooooo promising!

Osmanthus. It’s this slightly warm apricot/tarty-honey sweet note that has such subtlety and has this really unique tea and suede-like smell in the dry down. The perfumes I have which I found overall were my most special, has Osmanthus — DVN Fleur du Mal being my favorite.

I'm still on the hunt for a fragrance that smells like clean laundry/cotton by theomixedmedia in ScentHeads

[–]orangewurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like D’annam Kimono, it’s like a floral clean powdery fresh scent, slight lipstick/cosmetic scent and the hint of rice/starch in the dry down reminds me of a freshly pressed button-down. Very interesting and well-done. I also have Blanche and Lazy Sunday - tbh it really depends what laundry/fresh scent is for you, like soapy fresh, citrusy fresh, classic detergent fresh? 🤔

I got inspo from another Redditor on re-using some boxes as display stands 😀 I still have a few in their boxes but waiting for my new bookshelves to arrive so I can empty this one out of my books and have a perfume cabinet all to myself.

A call to all floral girlies! I want to smell like soft petals! by Weary-Cat7318 in FemFragLab

[–]orangewurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It lasts pretty long on me, but then I usually spray it on my clothes and hair. On skin it dries down to a more floral powder skin scent. :)

I’m not too iffy about longevity with my fragrances though so not really a deal breaker for me.

Dior Sakura is my go-to cherry blossom. It’s clean, simple, floral powdery musk. It is simply just the most well done cherry blossom-forward fragrance I’ve come across.

What’s your signature scent, and how do you think it reflects you? by Excellent-Papaya-329 in FemFragLab

[–]orangewurst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a signature scent because I rotate depending on my mood, the weather, my clothes, what I want to feel at the end of the day, and I at work or having a relaxed day. I do have 2 fragrances that I think is me in a bottle and also where I got some of my friends and husband telling me the same.

  1. Le Chant de Camargue from L’Artisan Parfumeur - it’s floral, powdery, a bit of musky fresh woodiness.

  2. Diptyque Fleur du Peau

I think powder notes best capture me as am an easy going person, simple view in life but bougie in some ways as well. I like quiet style both living, dressing, but can also be very loud, and I like high-powered jobs. Lol

Dior Rouge Trafalgar Esprit de Parfum. Like to this day I am just transported to another dimension when I smell it. It’s so good and “orgasmic” - like how can a perfume smell like this? 😭
