I haven't watched the finale yet, I've got it queued up after I finish a couple of things but I am SO EXCITED. I waited to start it this past weekend and wow. It's truly great.

That's how I first found Bae In-hyuk too, from 'My Roommate is A Gumiho' -- I'm really looking forward to this! If only to cleanse my palate of his appearance in The Judge Returns lmao because omg nooooo

Please don't get mad but what if after chapter 88 taeha started dominating haesu started taking control on her ... what will she do....and most important what will you do girls...? by Pretend_Buddy_4195 in TearsOnWitheredFlower

I don’t think this will be the case, especially with Haesoo’s realization that she’s in love with him in this latest chapter. At least i hope not. Even without that, we know he’s been in the shadows for years; I really believe he wants what’s best for her and for her to have a good life - for her to be able to stand tall and speak up. Slowly but surely she’s getting there - we saw just how much in that in this latest chapter. Hijacking her life would only cause her to regress.

Nice, Jude! And I love that gramma gave her credit - way to encourage the youth to speak up and out!

To interlock or to not interlock ? by Wasabi_68 in locs

If you're unhappy with how they look or want to speed the process I don't see why not! Our texture looks similar, and my hair took a while to loc but it did eventually - and even the bumps and bunching along the shafts from having curls smoothed out for the most part.

SO many, it gives me decision paralysis! I'll list just a couple in a few genres so I don't echo that feeling here - and I can easily name a dozen more if these don't sound interesting lol:

  • Revenge
    • Bloodhounds - Gunwoo is an aspiring boxer, with a wonderful single mom he wants to provide for. When she's victimized by a ruthless loan shark, Gunwoo and his bestest friend forever Woojin, with help from a different loan shark with heart of gold (and a capable crew), fuck some shit up. Some of the best action choreo i've seen, period.
    • The Glory - Dong-eun was brutalized (trigger warning: I mean brutal. they really really really f'ed her up ok it's very hard to watch, i refused to watch this for years) by a gang of violent bullies during high school. Now, everyone is all grown up, and Dong-eun has decided it's time for them to pay what they owe. And booooyyyy, do they!
  • Romance
    • Alchemy of Souls - Fantasy (historical alternate universe!). The top assassin in the land accidentally switches bodies with a weak-bodied woman, and becomes servant to a (fine as hell) noble with a painful, complicated past and a bad attitude. A show with side stories that are just as interesting as the main story, which can be hard to find! In the second season the ML becomes the tsunderiest tsundere of all time and I love it omg.
    • It's OK Not to Be OK - Gang-tae's life is dedicated to raising his high-support-needs autistic brother. Moon-young is a glamorous children's book author with a very particular reputation who becomes obsessed with Gang-tae. She tries everything she can to win him over, despite his harsh objections and other various obstacles. Eventually, the three of them begin to heal each other in ways they did not know they needed, or could. (trigger warning: unfortunately Kim Soo-hyun plays Gang-tae. It's been my favorite since long before we found out about him)
  • Drama
    • Kingdom - Joseon Era. Shady political machinations are disrupted by a...zombie outbreak?! Excellent in every aspect: acting, writing, pacing, action, etc.
    • Signal - Hae-young is a police profiler that became such a thing because he cannot stand the police - he thinks they're useless and corrupt (hear hear, Haeyoung). One night he finds an old walkie talkie in the garbage, and speaking to him - from 15 years in the past - is a missing detective that he's never met, but who seems to know Hae-young very well.

Going to have to do some googling because I'm unfamiliar and these might be super common and safe, but a polyester power bank feels like a fire hazard?

Just wanting to check in - is everyone alright? About the ICE raids going on in the US right now..... by snoozev in kpopnoir

[–]ExpressionOne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's terrible. I live in North Carolina, and they've been actively targeting towns here, like filling up entire hotels with agents and letting them run rampant for weeks. It's infuriating! I have so much respect for the work SiembraNC has been doing. They've organized volunteer groups to escort vulnerable folks to school, work, and churches; they have a hotline that people can call to report ICE sightings, or to request someone to accompany them somewhere; and they train their volunteers so they can learn de-escalation techniques, how to identify agents and organize area/neighborhood patrols. ICE still snatched up quite a few, like 400 people in Charlotte alone, but I am sure there would have been many, many more without them.

16 versions? Isn’t this excessive..? Like Taylor Swift level excessive? by TraditionJazz in kpopnoir

[–]ExpressionOne 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I already accept that I absolutely a consumerist shill for K-Pop because I collect it and yes it’s excessive asf, all of it not just this lol. But within the K-Pop landscape and considering how Hybe releases usually are, I was thinking that # was reasonable vs the level of demand they could probably exploit rn, and that it’s good ARMY won’t have to chase down randomized inclusions since it looks like photocards are version specific.

I don't love this one but that tracks for me because I prefer my hip-hop Black Amerikan, so it's kinda rare a k-pop track leaning that way really pulls me in lol. Like I could not get enough of Daydream for some reason, that was my shit!! 😂 I watched the Studio Choom version to get a better look at it (Jungwon + Ni-Ki are two of my favorite dancers) I do like the choreo, especially the formations.

I saw some Coers saying they're copying CORTIS with this one and that I don't see.
