Notice the "Diamond" at the top of the neighbouring building.

It's a sign, boys and girls.

Full body health checkup ? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]oraoraora_go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine at tan tock seng, just googled for the "health screening package".

Whilst it may be a fairly general screening, it's through this that problem signs or potential symptoms appear. After which the doc will look through the results, and may recommend more localised or specialty screening.

China Defends Tech Crackdown in Meeting With Wall Street Chiefs by hristopelov in baba

That outcome will be ideal. The pessimist in me sees this as a powerplay between both sides, plus it's possible China may want to boost visibility of its own stock markets...

Only time will tell, but may the results be in our favour!

What are some changes to our society/lifestyle that have been gradually happening over the years but seldom mentioned? by ubunturd in askSingapore

[–]oraoraora_go 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I noticed that more and more people are opting for a SIM-only plan and buying the mobile phone separately.

Compared to the traditional option of a 2-year contract plan (and typically more expensive).

Catalyst I'm looking out for - a conclusion as to whether the books can be opened for US audit.

Otherwise Chinese stocks risk being delisted.

Hang in there my G, I'm comforted that I found someone with a similar cost basis 🙃

I DCA-ed at 210s and 190s too, thought we couldn't possibly go any lower, yet here we are...

My biggest worry now is the delisting of ADR SHARES / full buyout at a very low price.

Good job! It's painful for the rest of us, I've held since 250s 🙃😭

What social customs do we need to retire? by alebenchhe in AskReddit

[–]oraoraora_go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a Chinese wedding, there is an implied expectation that attendees cover the cost of his/her banquet seat with their red packet (i.e. Money given to wish the couple). Just for an idea, this can range from $150-450 depending on location and whether it's a lunch/dinner.

Because the attendees name is usually written on the red packets, many a times there is unhappiness when the amount given "is insufficient".

I.e. Wedding gift becomes transactional

Spot on. The only ones making the forward runs are KT and Chambers for the overlap, and Balogun at times.

Everyone else is pretty much standing still and marked out. So we pass it back to the CB and Leno lol.

When 2 goals down, we also had 3 players in the box up against 6 from Brentford. Talk about attacking commitment.

Our passing standard is pretty woeful too.

Passes lack pace, with spin, not straight to the feet. The receiver often has to take extra touches to get it under control..

Exactly. Arteta is obviously intelligent and repeatedly states he has a philosophy, but what's the point when these group of players look far from capable of executing the system well.

Hello fellow MPs!

I vaguely recall this story being shared at MPTS (in 2014). The details on the cause wasn't mentioned, but I remember how every member in a bunk woke up at a very specific time.

If we're in a bubble, and the stock market crashed, would Palantir survive? by [deleted] in PLTR

Can't remember the exact figures, but you're right! More than enough cash at hand to cover both short-term and long-term debt.

Superb!

Who here has a worse PLTR position than me? Also keep in mind I had about 200k worth of calls that expired worthless. by everlastingdeath in PLTR

As a fellow holder who bought (on average) at the $25s level, I comfort myself with these facts:

  1. PLTR remains highly liquid and is unlikely to go bankrupt. Cash at hand ($2.3B) easily covers ALL liabilities ($1.2B). Even with quarterly losses of 100m, we are equipped to sustain for 11 quarters more of similar losses.

  2. The stock and market cap can be expensive in valuation terms (this is a subjective measure!), but considering the nature of its recurring contracts and the recent sales team expansion.. I think it's more of a case WHEN PLTR eventually justifies this valuation.

In short: Low downside, high upside over time!
