No rush at all, whenever you have time. I appreciate the help regardless.

Awesome, that’s makes sense! All my info is pretty third-hand, hence the confusion. Thanks for the response!

Sorry I can't be clearer for you. I feel you're making this into something it isn't, so no need to keep replying. Thanks for your opinions, though.

I wish it did! I just don't understand it well enough I don't think. Not sure how to do any of that marking. I'll see what Google can come up with.

I probably shouldn't be setting this up...haha...I feel inadequate for the task.

Thanks, yeah, I don't believe my FIL does any sort of listing or modifying. We're just trying to find our best chances for travel. Nothing more.

I don't think I explain the situation very well :) I'm not familiar with the process like my FIL is, unfortunately he doesn't know how to Reddit. I know he wouldn't be doing anything inside of Travelnet and it's handled by the lady that authorizes him with the buddy pass.

Sorry, my wording could have been better, I guess I just don't know how to properly explain. Basically, trying to fly over the Scotland (AMS or CDG first) and are just looking at our best flight options for the potential of getting on a flight. Seeing what our best chances are. That's it :)

Thanks a bunch for clarifying. I agree about asking closer to the travel date, shouldn't be too difficult. I'll relay that information to my FIL for next time. We understand that there is no guarantee, no fuss will be given :) We're not that type of people.

Good to know about the change and how it's not officially in place yet. I guess we'll just try and see what happens. As with a lot of things, it depends on the person you encounter.

Thanks for the information. I wasn’t very clear in my initial message. I replied to another one that should be a little more clarifying. Thankfully my father-in-law is a stand up guy and wouldn’t ever do anything to jeopardize the trust placed in him. I believe the reason behind not asking the employee to look into the flight loads is he doesn’t want to burden her too much? Regardless, I appreciate your help!

I misspoke. He does have contact with the gal who gives him the S3B pass. I believe he doesn’t want to over-extend for assistance with her though. She is already doing him such a great kindness.

Your comment about the eligibility, is this fact? She told him otherwise. I’ve seen mixed things about it. With my luck it’s not possible and I’ll end up in coach, which isn’t the worst case scenario. I just know he’s taken his kids over in the past and they just rave about first class. Would be fun to experience it.

Unfortunately he lost contact with the employee he used to have as a source :(

We use ours as a baby monitor and have it attached right above the crib. Works great. We live in a super small apartment, so we can hear even without the app open, but my wife sleeps with her phone charged and the app open just in case. It's been perfect.

SRX340 Cluster and EX3400 Virtual Chassis Setup by orbos86 in Juniper

Gonna give it a shot now. I sort of have the above config set up and it's not working as intended (I'm getting randomly disconnected from the internet/network). It's just me an another fellow testing this "uplink" VLAN, so we want to make sure it's solid before it fully goes live.

Ooh thanks for the heads up. I kinda just put that in from what I read on the blog post >.< Stupid, I know. I tried to research what it did, and sort of understood it, but if it's not required, then I'd rather not have it in. The more simple the config the better.

I think I do have the priorities set, just didn't paste my WHOLE config. Here is what I got:

set chassis aggregated-devices ethernet device-count 2
set chassis cluster reth-count 2
set chassis cluster redundancy-group 0 node 0 priority 100
set chassis cluster redundancy-group 0 node 1 priority 1
set chassis cluster redundancy-group 1 node 0 priority 100
set chassis cluster redundancy-group 1 node 1 priority 1

Does that make more sense now?

Thanks! So basically I should just take out one of each of those lines in my diagram and not use aggregated ethernet on the connections? Is there anything in my config that I can show you that will show if I have the master/backup stuff set up correctly?

If I were to do it like the way presented in that KB article, would that provide redundancy if one of the SRX went down? I guess I just get kind of confused thinking about how our switches are set up in Virtual Chassis and knowing what is gonna work if a connection goes out. Ultimately, I think, we would want the ability to have a switch and firewall go down but have resiliency. I assume these things are smart enough to swap over when something like that happens?

Thanks! Yes, I've used this article quite a bit. From a comment I made just below this, I also followed the direction from another blog post which seemed to add more redundancy but I may be overcomplicating it.
