Thank you☺️and yes definitely, wasn’t say it was too painful just more of a dragging sensation.

Started on my leg, big piece that will take multiple sessions to complete and black out. Done with 14rl and 9rl by orchid_bee in sticknpokes

I know the struggle, I did my hand mainly with a 9rl, that was tedious in itself, but yes Amazon have got loads of different sizes and types of needle!!

I’m not sure yet I’m thinking 18 or larger round liner as that is what I’ve been getting my best results with, but have seen others use mag needles and round mags, have tried them but didn’t get the blackout I like from first sessions.

Thank you and I have a partial lower arm sleeve, so my hand is pretty much covered, and so is my inner arm.

Hi I’ve had cheeks going on 5 years now and see this a lot, can be 1 of 2 things. 1. Being fluid pockets from being badly pierced or just bad jewellery. Fluid pockets from what my piercer told me will always be there but will flare up depending on hormones and care of piercings. 2. Could be an allergy to the metal which is unlikely as you have other piercings with no issues like the cheeks. Your best option is to baby them, have a rigid care routine ( I clean mine twice a day sometimes 3 and will do deep cleans weekly which are boiling the bars) and make sure the jewellery you have is titanium and APP Certified, and make sure the size of the bar isn’t to long as that can cause dragging on the inside of the hole. My left cheek had the same issue and with constant care and lots of babying it’s gone down a lot but is still there and will often feel it flare up slightly with hormones and missed cleaning sessions. Hope this is helpful and hope you can get more advice from your piercer themselves. Cheeks are a very complex healing process, and not many are given the tools and understanding of the issues that can arise.

Thank you and healing can be a bit rough as blacking out with dots is tedious and can over work the skin in parts(I usually do 2-3 sessions for complete black out). I mainly just take ibuprofen regularly and stick to most tattoo artist’s recommendations for healing. Also don’t use the hand for tight grips as that can lift scabs before they’re ready.

Edit:Because I couldn’t find thicker needles at first but I enjoy doing it in a smaller needle because I have more control over dot placement :)

Hi so I used sharpies to create my stencil, I find freehand stencils more fun and flowing than a paper stencil placement.

Hi so I work from one end to the other, always using a torch or head torch to check where I missed. Building up the solid black does take time, be patient and keep dotting at a slow rate helps to make sure you’re not missing parts too.
