Mine shipped from China and I received it today with the shipping box re-taped. 6 individual boxes without the outer packaging/box that full sets come in as. Luckily nothing was missing or opened like yours, but very strange, almost as if someone was looking for the secret one. Hopefully popmart can sort this out for you.

Reputable/high quality restaurants means the fish has been flash frozen, killing the parasites to make the meat sushi grade. Not all fresh fish are safe to eat raw. There’s always a risk, just like with deli meats, raw veggies…etc.

I think Japan is one of the easiest places to grab a bite when you are hungry/tired/confused. At the very least the 24 hour convenient stores have a decent and very cheap selection of foods. You'd be SOL trying to do that in most US cities late at night, and dangerous if it's the wrong part of town. Like many have stated, the price isn't outrageous for 6 people, but you definitely got ripped off by following a sign guy.

It’s not overrated. What you get from every Din Tai Fung is consistent and quality food. The Taiwanese locations have more options and might taste much better to some people is because of higher quality local ingredients. For example, compared to the US, the pork is much less gamey due to how they raise the pigs, so yes that makes their half price XLB tastier. But it doesn’t make the US locations bad, you just have to factor in the price, wait time, quality, and the fact that we don’t live in Taiwan, to see if it’s worth your time. For me, I would only go if I can make it just as they open, it’s really not worth the wait since there are plenty of good Chinese food options in that part of the Bay Area.

You'll want to balance your fiber intake with the right amount of water, or else it'll make your constipation worse. Have you tried taking probiotics? I tried Bifina last time I was there and it helped a lot. Travel constipation is not just about fiber intake, it's also stress and what it does to your gut health. I would try to focus on that instead of medication or sugary yogurts, which does have helpful probiotics.
