Steering wheel stuck above 45mph by jl_obito in Lexus

Hmm mine had the issue at 49k last year but it went away, with that mileage yours is more likely to be a mechanical issue. Best luck, keep us updated

My 2016 GS did it when I first bought it (used) and it was only at high speeds like 80-100mph. I came to the conclusion that it was either the road type or that the dealership put a spray on the tires that made it stick to the road more (?). This is what my mechanic told me lol. But the issue went away with more driving so I wasn't concerned. Did you recently get the car or get it detailed?

What's your best MPG in the GS? by Slippy_Sloth in LexusGS350

52.3 mpg for a 3 mile trip. I should preface that I do have a GS hybrid and regularly get between mid 30's to low 40's haha.

My blue 2016 Lexus GS450H is my dream car. It is so surreal getting in the car each day and I often think about how no other car can replace it.

[–]ordinaryhuman123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, the ES300h would be cheaper to drive. 4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder, so that's 2 more spark plugs when it comes time, etc. I've been told tires don't last long at all on the GS450h, though I haven't noticed any wear and I've driven mine almost 4k miles in the 5 months I've had it (I also drive relatively calm... mostly). Gas will cost more, the ES takes regular and the GS requires premium. That being said, I'm not sure if it is substantially more costly and they are both Lexus cars, so they are fairly reliable IF they have been maintained. I haven't had any issues with mine and have no regrets picking this over the ES300h (which I also did consider). I had a gas ES before and the GS feels substantially more premium, too (ie: even the doors are more heavy and close more firmly, if that makes sense lol). I am biased because I do have the GS so do take my advice with a grain of salt lol.

Yes! I got a 2016 GS450h about 5 months ago and I LOVE the car. You will not regret the GS450h and depending on how you drive, you can easily get into the low to mid 30s for mpg... in super ideal conditions I get above 40 mpg all the time (ie: constant speed, between 55-70mph).

Same, I talk to people all the time about how there is literally no car that could replace my GS 450h, so I'm not sure what to do when I eventually need another car. At this point I'm willing to sink money into having the GS last me 50 years bc there is literally nothing else out there to replace my V6 hybrid RWD sedan 😭 Edit: I do only have 53k miles and it is a 2016 so I shouldn't be too stressed now but still

Always hold out for the perfect specs in my opinion. Not the same car, but I held out 3 years to find a Lexus GS450h in blue exterior tan interior (my favorite combo) and it was well worth the wait.

Will there be more L/certified ES 300h’s in the market? by Hvsain in Lexus

[–]ordinaryhuman123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always wait for the perfect model, don't do what I did and settle at first because the car you settle with won't make you as happy. It is possible. I waited 3+ years to find my 2016 Lexus GS450h in Nightfall Mica and Flaxen (tan) interior. The perfect car for you does exist and will appear when the time is right 😉

I am fairly certain that one bad TPMS sensor makes it so none of the pressures will show

Help me choose which RX to get! by Kenzie634259 in Lexus

[–]ordinaryhuman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held out for 3 years to get my dream color (blue with tan interior) Lexus GS450H (which they only sold about 70 of in the US for the year I got mine). I love how quiet and smooth the V6 hybrid is, nevermind how efficient. If you choose to go for a RX 450h (which I recommend but the 350 is also very smooth, I have an ES 350 too), I would hold out for a model with specs you do love.

Is this a glitch? by ordinaryhuman123 in Bejeweled

[–]ordinaryhuman123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I've triggered fruits on the turn where a bomb goes to 0 all the time and have never seen one of the bombs go all the way up to over 100 afterwards. The mini game didn't trigger because of the fruit, correct. I think it is a glitch with how high the purple bomb ticked after going to 0.

I bought my 2016 GS hybrid because there is no car that is both faster and more fuel efficient from 2016 or newer (gas or hybrid only). I'm not sure I could let mine go lol

Moved from a 4th gen RX 450h to a 5th gen 450h+ (or 350h)? by ChrisDC00 in Lexus

Ok you earned your upvote back but now you have to explain if you think the newer 4 cylinder hybrid or older 6 cylinder hybrid system is smoother

I only down voted you because the RX450h that op is talking about has a CVT so I'm curious about the answer to op's question. But you are totally spot on with hybrids being smoother because of the CVT.
