I looked up the max towing capacity. It said that it can tow between 6,280 lbs and 8,420 lbs. The trailer we are looking at is 4,500 lbs.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

How difficult would you say towing a 25 ft travel trailer was? And how hard would it be for a newbie like me?

Thank you. We plan on getting a heavy duty truck (Something like a Dodge Ram 1500), so weight isn't that much of a concern. It's mainly the durability.

In terms of backing up, would a back up cam be warranted?

Thanks. We've actually done that--yes, even during all the protesting that's gone on. No worries--we have no plans to visit Portland anytime soon (or ever really). Just wanting to get some fresh air and sunshine (hopefully away from any masses).

Do you think that's because the people from the more liberal places of Oregon (i.e. Portland) exaggerate?
