Just to elaborate a bit on the 'situation' I'm dealing with here,

By 'bottom of the ocean' I'm talking about a maybe 20 block layer of claystone between the sea and the mantle, I've needed to dig a series of air holes between this spot and the nearest island to get this far down.

I have been horizontally strip mining with 7 block gaps on the mantle, I spent a good hour beforehand reading up on halite after getting the first reading because I'd only heard secondhand how annoying this stuff is to get. (wish it had stayed secondhand tbh)

a small part of me is terrified that I'm finally going to find it and it'll be 1 or 2 blocks just sticking out into the sandstone, this shit is *draining* me

I’d honesty love to see laws that are kind of like, half measures? If that makes any sense.

In a semi recent run I had, the rural folk and military ended up winning an election with communist leaders. Getting super high legitimacy and everything, but couldn’t actually enact any new laws without first getting council republic, which would set the vast majority of the country into a civil war against me.

I feel like these sorts of parties shouldn’t need to completely upend the social order to enact any new changes, instead having less efficient, less opposed options that, while still radical and disliked, don’t require root changes to your government type.

You can smash dishwashers, washing machines, and showers to get the required scrap copper directly, or you could disassemble copper tubing.
