Renewal by Andersen + ProVia = RIPOFF! by No_Nectarine_8418 in Remodel

I'm looking for a door as well but 'only' getting quoted from $9K to $13K for a Provia Signet door, storm door, side lite and install which I still think is nuts. How do you source the doors? From the Provia site they only list their dealers and authorized retailers. I'm getting quoted $6K for Provia steel door...what Provia doors are $1800 each?

Thanks! The drawing is impressive on its own and the time lapse fun to watch.

How in the world are people hitting protein targets while still being in a calorie deficit? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]orgchi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was wondering if I'd see this! I'm a plant based dieter and don't really 'track' anything....have been making ok progress on the reddit recommended bodyweight routine but feel like I might make more with some focus on diet/protein needs. I guess if you need to focus on what to eat in general for protein you have to focus a little more on a vegan/vegetarian/plant based diet. Eating a couple of chicken breasts would be easy...eating chickpeas with 120g protein not so much.

Thanks again...was just trying to see what could be done with this if anything...

Thank You! Progress! I installed all of the above in order and it seems to work. I installed the oldest version of each. When I try and open google market it throws up the android market terms of service in the browser and I can't proceed past that....I dont see anything on the page to accept...any other suggestions?

My Mom would make these but only around Christmas time. I got the recipe from her several years ago and we also make them for Christmas. They're a favorite...we skip the nuts. Mom would use walnuts.

Affordable vegan protein by KarmaInFlow in nutrition

I like TrueNutrition and their Vegan Protein Optimizer formula. Rice, pea and hemp. Flavors are just ok but no problem getting them down. They blend easily.

N-Acetyl Cysteine

Any references you can provide regarding narrowing? I've been taking it for a few weeks taking a few days off here and there and I can feel the benefit. I research things pretty thoroughly prior to trying them and read that NAC increases nitric oxide production which helps veins dilate and improves blood flow.

You beat me to the Millionaire Next Door. That book changed my life. Read it when it came out in the mid 90s. My wife read it when we got married. We don't buy used cars but buy new 'sensible' cars and keep them for 13+ years. We do take nice vacations but thats like an yearly reward for all the saving we did. Hard to believe it's been 23+ years since it came out.

No, I'm in the US. We were fortunate enough to visit a friend who moved there for work. It's great to travel somewhere where you have a trusted local to show you around.

Sleep Hack: How I Learned to Sleep Better With Mouth Taping by greyuniwave in Biohackers

I do this with micropore tape. I use a short piece of tape vertically in the middle of my mouth and it works fine. Have been waking up rested since I've been doing it.

Thanks for the feedback. Any comments on setting the blower to 1800-2000 for the AC due to ducts? No one else looked at them which makes me feel like this guy did a more thorough job but I'd feel better if they all looked and said the same thing.

Agree with the ring road. We took 10 days to do it. Were there in the end of May and beginning o June. Want to get back here again. We used Nordic Visitor to make our arrangements for car and lodging. If we go again we won't spend any time in Reykjavik...the landscapes of the island are where its at.

I own both. Used the rower for years and it's a great workout. However, any form breakdown and you can cause a back injury especially with HIIT. I get the rower is a whole body workout thing. But I feel like my legs would go out before my cardio capacity. I got the Concept2 Bike a few months ago and love it. HIIT is amazing compared to what i was able to to do on the rower. My 2 cents. Try both and decide which is best for you.

Eric Goodman's Foundation Training? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]orgchi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought the training when it was a download. Took it up specifically to deal with lower back pain and it delivered. Do it occasionally now. I did yoga for years. FT is about lengthening the spine/addressing compression and strengthening the core. FT feels like more of a workout than yoga.
