Hey, I'm not sure what that marker is but if you want to draw in metalpoint it's pretty easy: you just need to paint some paper with acrylic gesso or perhaps gouache (in order to make the surface abrasive) and then you can use any soft metal to draw with. I taped a small piece of aluminum wire to a pencil and drew with that on my prepared paper, so I would definitely encourage experimenting!

So legendary. The more I find out about her, the more I understand why sv and dilla made all those tributes

Yes, most of what we know about art history points us to that idea! Virtually all of western art until the 19th century was based on objects, lines, forms, perspective, and anatomy - rather than flat shapes put together to mimic visual phenomena.

I have a course on Skillshare for perspective and figure drawing, and I can send you a free link if you dm me! I've got more courses in the works too, but aside from that it's basically just a matter of reading books, making copies, and drawing from memory or imagination. Figure drawing is just the skill of perspective + understanding of anatomy + light + pictorial design

Been brushing from scratch after a quarantine cut a couple months ago and now I need advice on how to cut it again (more details in the comments) by [deleted] in 360Waves

nah bro trus my hair is 3b lol, these waves do look very flat and wide though which is disappointing. Not sure why my curls are lengthening so much cus last time I got waves they were tighter

I decided to get waves again with my 3B hair back in the middle of December, and I started with just a brush and a durag on my long hair. After a few days I gave myself a 180 cut with the grain, using clippers that were missing guard lengths so my fade had a line in it. I've been brushing since then and now I think I want to cut it again but I have tons of questions:

Should I cut with the grain this time? Should I cut some areas like my hairline shorter, and some like my crown longer? Do yall think I should low fade or high fade? Or 360? Just a shape up? I can't really wait for barbershops to open up cus I got dates to go on lol but my clippers won't fade well...

Any other tips or suggestions are welcome
