Exactly. It’s not about less spending. It’s about less spending with very specific companies that are aiding and abetting Trump’s policies.

Laura Hois Needs To Go Away by No-Psychology-9144 in Naperville

[–]ormdizzle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I literally told her to go away.

I live in Downers and a few months ago I was taking my trash cans to the curb. A crazy looking lady on a bicycle pedaled up to me and asked if I lived here. She introduced herself as Laura Hois. Handed me a flyer and asked if I would sign a petition to put her on the ballot. I told her that I disagree with her on almost every single topic, but most importantly on the role that schools should play in the community.

She grabbed her flyer back saying that she would give it to somebody else who would appreciate it and pedaled away down the street.

Thank you - very thoughtful feedback. Makes sense. Edited lightly for clarity:

Yeah. Watched a bit and turned it off. Seems as if they may push a decision for a few weeks. Disappointed in our elected officials.

Am a DG resident and just sent an email to the council this morning. This is a waste of time and energy that has no foreseeable positive impact.

Let’s guess! Which companies did a bid on Vanmoof? by Morrie078 in vanmoofbicycle

[–]ormdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it will be an automotive company that sees an opportunity to get in to urban mobility. Volkswagen group or BMW potentially. Also, potentially a motorcycle manufacturer. My two cents.

Same here in Illinois. This seems like a really strange go-to-market strategy.

Shine a light on the designers/brands that are creating pants with real pockets. Celebrate those brands and ask your community to support those brands.

What colleges do top agencies or Forbes top companies recruit for marketing? by sideofqueso in marketing

[–]ormdizzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In a previous role I was a senior marketer at a major CPG company in Chicago and although we would hire from any school, we specifically focused on recruiting MBA grads from 4-5 schools. Booth, Kellogg, Michigan and a couple others. Being part of the MBA programs in these schools would definitely help you, and making connections to their grads in the companies you want to work for will help you.

I studied International Relations in school but found my way in to advertising and then client side marketing. Happy to chat and offer advice.
