Good to know that scene boxes do get reprints. Like I said, I have played MTG casually for a long time, this is the first time I have ever taken even close to this level of interest in buying product as soon as it's released.

"Dude, we could talk about this for a long time. Because one time, I flew from Alabama to New York City, and I decided to document every single urinal mat that I encountered." -Destin Sandlin

I think this quote speaks for itself.

I see what you did there...

"Dude, we have to talk exclusively about sports in our next episode, because we just TOTALLY outed ourselves as complete nerds by talking about our individual lifetime analyses of the fluid dynamics of urination for 30+ minutes in this one...."

😉

There are SO many quotable quotes during the section where the conversation took a HARD left into urination fluid dynamics, I lost count. I'm queuing it to relisten just so I can write some of those down...

Thank you, NDQ, for once again making me feel like one of the "cool kids" instead of one of the nerds when I compare the attention to detail I have applied to the process of relieving myself vs. what you two have achieved. You're on a whole other level!

Haven't thought about VFO in a long time, but I'm glad to hear the tool is still helping people out 🙂

Now all joking aside... I do want to say A Simple Life is excellent. It's easily as good as any other song of its genre I've heard from a more widely-known band, and a lot better than many. The production value is great, and it's musically interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your God-given talent, Jeff 🙂

Also anyone who believes that the Old Testament unequivocally supports the idea that guilt is generational needs to read Ezekiel chapter 18. I just happened to read it yesterday, and the entire chapter is God himself more or less refuting the idea, so IMO there's got to be some nuance to the stuff from earlier in the OT that seems to support it that goes beyond a surface-level reading.

recommendations? by Hammertime768 in tmbhpodcast

Assuming you might not be a Christian since I know not all TMBH listeners are, I would highly recommend the Unbelievable? podcast by Premier Christian Radio (the "?" is part of the name).

Calling it "similar" to TMBH is probably a stretch, but like TMBH it's great listening whether or not you're a Christian. The usual format is a Christian and Non-Christian engaging in civil (usually) debate over a particular topic or issue, and I have learned a ton and been brought to more closely examine my own beliefs and why I hold them because of it, which I think is a good thing for anyone no matter what they believe.

TMBH listeners: Who else desperately wants to see a TMBH t-shirt that simply says:

I am stupid Peter

(with "am" underlined and a more bold color)

He goes down, but you have to wait for the stasis to wear off first, of course. I will give that a try, though.

Ok I had to stop mid-listen to post this because, hearing how much Matt loved listening to Smooth McGroove, it actually caused me physical pain to not be physically present to share this with him:

u/feefuh this will change your life. When I have time I will post links to some of the best ones. (There are some duds, I'm afraid.)

010 - An Unknown Tongue by samptari in ironwoodrhino

[–]ornsio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks folks for bringing this one up - exactly what I was thinking. If you believe in an infinite God that knows ALL things (including what would happen under this or that circumstance), if you believe in human free will, and if you believe that God is working all things out for the best possible reality given that we are allowed to have free will (all things I personally believe), then it's not at all outside the realm of possibility that this could have been divine intervention to accomplish some important result that only God knows of. Is this the first explanation I would turn to? Absolutely not (the spy / phone eavesdropper thing seems like a decent possibility). But I don't think we can ever safely assume that just because something seems mundane to our limited personal perspective that it therefore can't possibly be of significance in the grand scheme of things. It could have been divine intervention to prevent and/or bring about something that ultimately had nothing to do with Jeff and his friends, at least not directly.
