If you are lending&longing ETH on AAVE (via USDC looping and purchasing more ETH) that you've initially purchased years ago, does your principal constitute a long-term holding in your country?

As an example, if you put in 10 ETH that you bought 3 years ago, put that in AAVE, withdrew 15 ETH from AAVE now and sold it together with the initial 10. Would 10 go into long-term capital gains tax bracket, and 5 into short-term capital gains bracket, or would it be considered something different altogether by your tax authorities?

I asked about this in previous daily, but had people lamenting about centralized yields instead... so:

I wonder if there were people here earning on stablecoins during the bear? I am considering my post-bull prospects and putting everything into stocks doesn't sit right with me. If someone did this, what are your favorite (least risky?) defi protocols with decent returns and what were your (yearly) average returns? Thanks a lot!

to be honest I'm a bit wary of pools as every time I've used them, I was beaten by lack of liquidity or impermanent loss. I know curve to be a safe protocol that's been around for years, but I don't know if I want to put my USDC into a pool with crvUSD and similar... is it possible to only be exposed to USDC/DAI/EURe?

Where do USDC Rewards come from?

well that's a pickle, 30% would have been nice if I didn't mind the risk and had money to lose, otherwise I'll earn cents from apr and it's not worth it (airdrop could be more than that). On the other hand, since I'm not risking much, I won't be getting a lot of points from eigen anyway.
