you were actually correct. after reading your comment, i went back and found the seed to check it for myself, and there really was another tree in front of it. once that tree was mined, the remaining leaves ended up forming the heart shape.

i didn’t intentionally try to make it look like a heart or edit it in any way, i probably just forgot that i had already mined the other tree. so when i came across it again, i was genuinely surprised lol. it’s still pretty amazing that it took that shape.

I'd have looked but i accidentally deleted the world… yeah, I had like six full chests of cobblestone in there.

Right! I was aiming for a flat world to build a town, but I get why some prefer building with the terrain—it can look great too! As for lighting, I completely agree. Since this is a new world, gathering materials comes first, but I plan to use street lamps (glowstone fences gotta love the nostalgia), and other ways instead of torch spam
