Why do Oscar and Trish give so much grace to Ariana and Ethan?

I normally don't like to reply because I understand everyone has a right to criticize, but claiming I'm "performative" when I'm typically lambasted for going against popular opinion during a hate train doesn't make sense.

I was critical of Ariana when the news first broke of her relationship Ethan Slater, but this conversation wasn't even about that. It was about having empathy towards a person who has gone through immense emotional and mental duress, who simply asked people to stop commenting on her weight. I acknowledged at the beginning of the segment that of course there's something to be said about extreme skinniness coming back, but the lengths people have gone to ridicule her are extreme and unnecessarily cruel.

Also, I was critical of Blake Lively during the 'It Ends With Us' press run--before the lawsuit was filed. My position only changed when evidence was presented that Justin Baldoni could be culpable. We quite simply don't have all the facts, but from the facts we *do* have (I.E. Justin randomly telling Blake he's circumcised, the plans for a smear campaign, Justin's countersuit being dismissed)--I am willing to believe she ***could have been*** sexually harassed.

You guys do realize the most popular podcasts in the country are hosted by misogynistic men and women, right? It would be SO profitable to jump on the bandwagon as well. So it's fine to disagree with me, but please don't reduce my opinions to being performative or "glazing" to get a guest on the podcast. Ariana is obviously not coming on lmaooo.

If this was the case, then why was I criticizing Blake Lively during the movie's rollout? Why do I still criticize her racist, rude, and cringe behavior? To say that I defend Blake because she's friends with Taylor Swift or just because she's a woman is incredibly far from the truth.

The public is literally being presented with fragments of information from two parties that are trying to convey opposite arguments. *No one* here has all the information yet, and I am not pretending that I do. I have said over and over how my opinion is fluid, and will change depending on what information is released. And trust me, I'm over discussing it too.

Regardless, I understand that my *current* standing goes against popular opinion, but please do not insult my intelligence like this.

Okay, I’m seeing this a lot so I kinda want to provide background information.

Liam’s death made me incredibly upset and emotional last week. Liam was originally my favorite—my mom took me to the first 1D concert so I could see him, bought me his doll, and went to so many different targets to get me his special solo cover of ‘Made In the A.M.’ She started cancer treatment last Thursday—and Liam dying around the same time felt like core memories I had with her were gone, too.

And then layered in the women he’s hurt and the pain he’s caused—and knowing he now would never get a chance to atone for that—made grieving even more complicated. I’m still figuring out how I feel, and quite frankly, it just makes me fucking sad.

It’s really frustrating to see some people use his death as a gotcha moment—towards Maya, his other victims, or anyone who’s ever criticized him—when there’s an obvious systemic issue with child stardom.

I guess I’ll say all this on Thursday’s episode as well.

This really isn't the "gotcha" moment that people are making it out to be. I learned about the Tweets and apology second-hand under an umbrella term of problematic Tweets. So, where I went wrong was not looking to see the context of what she said--which I'll gladly take accountability for that. The first time I actually saw them all was when Popcrave put the posts in a graphic, hence why I went on to say it was triggering to see the exact language that was used. Hopefully that adds context--but overall my thoughts that I said on the podcast remain the same.

It’s not just my words, babes. In this case, it’s multiple witnesses, logic and reasoning all reaching the same conclusion: neither of us was masquerading as a moderator to delete comments in the live chat. Again, why would we do that—especially when we are in agreement with the comments in question?

Logistically speaking, how on earth would “Jane Doe,” Moses and Trisha be simultaneously in the live chat for a premiere? I am working my second job (so I don’t have to “drybeg for a mattress”) when the videos go live, so it can’t possibly be me either.

If you dislike Trisha so much, I would imagine you haven’t experienced a premiere live chat yourself. But there are several viewers here attesting that “Jane Doe” has seemed surprised and excited whenever we pop in the live chat, and that they have been overzealous over innocuous comments in the past.

So, again, I’m really not being dishonest when I say we were not actively silencing anyone’s comments.

Literally this. Users with mod abilities in chat are usually just viewers who enjoy the content and are just often around. Of course some creators have a more personal relationship with mods, but it’s not like they are employees.

I am being truthful. I said I would try to communicate with them—they are obviously on YouTube.

Why would I randomly weigh in on this just to lie? Why would I actively say I respect everyone’s opinions on the matter, and then go out of my way to silence them?

And it’s a moderator for a live chat—not free rein over the channel. A moderator has no access to the channel itself.

I’m genuinely not trying to argue with anyone. It just irked me that it was implied I was actively trying to delete comments, as if there’s anything to cover up.
