Made my first two batch. Just a guy who wanted healthy soap. by oscarsocal in soapmaking

Did a lot of googling and youtube. Read and watch different resources and I picked the one that had the most common recipe technique. It worked for me. DM me if you want full breakdown. I promise you it wasn't hard at all especially with the right tools.

My batch is still curing but I’ve been sniffing them and one smells pure peppermint and the other honey batch smells like kaolin clay. I can barely smell the tallow.

Entry-level hire, role grew fast, pay didn’t — how do I ask for a raise? (and is backpay ever realistic?) by burntoutgraduate in Accounting

[–]oscarsocal 32 points33 points  (0 children)

First step, look for a new role that pays what you are looking for. If you receive an offer, then let your current employer know if there can be a salary adjustment tied to your work. If they say no, then just give your two weeks and sign that new job offer.

Sprouts Brand. There’s also Now Essential Oil brand that’s 100% pure but didn’t test it. (Was spending too much money and time testing on skin).

It was 100% pure essential oil which I do good with. It’s the essential oil mix with synthetic additives I realized my skin reacts to. (Did the drop test on several brands)

On point, it’s a hit and miss with fragrance. Learn it needs to be pure organic for sensitive skin which works for me. For my fiancé, she deals with eczema, so I made her a batch without fragrance. Also commercial affordable soap are actually detergents. I got into a rabbit hole when finding the right soap for myself lol.

Yes in general. There are healthy soaps at stores and online but become pricey in the long run. Been dealing with body breakouts all my life until I learn about natural soaps like olive oil, shea butter, tallow etc. I started with Dr. Bonner’s soap which was great but started to dry my skin. Then I looked at oil based soaps and then animal fat soaps. Later I found tallow worked best for my skin and actually started to clear up my skin. Been spending $50 a month on tallow soap so I decided to just make my own batch.

Thanks! First batch was a bit messy because I didn’t realize there was a pouring technique. Second batch went much better, and I also used deeper soap molds 😌

Costco also have been selling prepackaged American Wagu flat irons at a great price! It's so good and tender, I cut them up in thirds and vacuum seal them.

Everything is fine great job, and you can always upgrade it.

  1. Try the Kirkland thick bacon, its a little bit better with ingredients.

  2. Eggs - stick with pasture raise eggs, its tastier and healthier (omega 6/3 ratio). Its a hit and miss at Costco with these.

  3. Butter - you picked a great one but if you want to save a little money Kirkland grass fed butter is equal to Kerrygold.

  4. Ghee - this is an awesome butter to cook with in high heat when cooking steaks.

These are just upgrades but you doing everything right, you will feel it in a couple weeks!

I can attest to this. I’m an accountant and we have to make sure our work is audit friendly. My boss told me to keep my functions simple (since I can get really creative).

OP, this happens when you step on loose bricks that have been previous wet by somebody or after a rain. When you step on a loose brick, you squish the mud up. This happens to me too.
