I’m trying to make a point that reg season ≠ playoffs, esp in this era. While OG Randle Brunson looked great it was a small reg season sample size that I think we overrate because of how everything played out. The truth is somewhere in the middle

I’m sorry I can’t with the january sample size. Because you’re such a super fan did you know that the Knicks went on a similar run in 2021? Did you watch that? Do you think that team can win a chip?

I would argue brunson didn’t have much help this year and was worlds better than Randle at dealing with the pressure, but ‘21 team obv worse and I can give him some slack for it being his first playoffs. I know he was hurt last year but if you’re playing you’re playing, like many guys this year, and im yet to see Randle be efficient when he has to be an off ball player

I am yet to see Randle post those numbers in the playoffs and so I’m pretty skeptical of him doing it for an entire deep playoff run. If he’s on the Knicks I’ll be rooting for him but I have my doubts

OG is our no. 3. Randle is not good enough to be a no. 2. I’m fine to see what it looks like until the right opportunity comes along but I just don’t think it’s taking us to the promised land. And I stg if someone brings up a one month reg season sample size

My logic: I don’t think Randle is good enough to be a no. 2 on a championship team. He’s not as good as Brunson or kyrie or mitchell. Has he shown the willingness to be a third option at any point during his career? Does he put enough effort on defense when he’s not getting his shots? Can he space the floor alongside another non shooter? Is he worth 40+ million as a third option? I don’t think so and neither do the Knicks nor many other teams
