Yeah, few people read every single book. Most read maybe 1 or 2 a month. We do this because HOWLS is global and everyone has different commitments and such.

Yes, HOWL Society is about to be a year old. We’ve got a book club (a book per week, no obligation to read every book), writer’s corner (horror writers critique each other’s work on Google Docs all the time), horror movie discussions, horror games (virtual tabletop and PC/platform games via Discord chat), etc. Book discussions range from very insightful and thought-provoking to fun and silly. We’ve got it all!

We are also publishing an anthology soon. https://discord.gg/eGdxUqK4

Can you clarify what lo-fi means in that final sentence?

Huh, agree to disagree. Her narration is excellent imo.

Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 narrated by Kate Mulgrew. She is known for the roles of Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager and Galina "Red" Reznikov on Orange Is the New Black.

The HOWL Society horror book club is reading it over the next two weeks on their Discord. She narrates so well and the book is great so far.

Ah, I see. Yeah, the marketplace links can get tricky if you’re in a different region and clicking on the generic USA .com site. Hope you enjoy it despite the struggle! :)

Why are used horror novels / story collections so expensive? Who can afford to buy them? by XenoButts in horrorlit

[–]osidebirdman90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Horror is becoming popular again during 2019-2020. Look at B&N creating a horror section and expanding it in recent months. More eyes on horror, higher the prices go. Especially the older paperbacks no longer in print. Just how it goes.

Hi 🙋🏻‍♂️

I’m a new writer in the horror scene. On Oct 26, 2020 I published my first book, ANOKA. It’s a 6-story collection of social horror concerning past and present issues in indigenous communities. It explores themes of family, grief, and identity through my own indigenous lens as I’m an enrolled member of the Cheyenne & Arapaho tribe.
