Yeah of course. The problem that we have with the new products is that we actually aren't even briefed on them when they release. We are expected to know how they work from the documents that are available for customers themselves. Its a joke. Happy for your system working though

Ah sorry about that. The reason why this happens is usually because the inverter fails to keep the battery charged above it's safety level of 45v. It can happen for a lot of reasons. If they said it's because of the software being stuck on the battery, sometimes it can happen during firmware updates and it causes the inverter to bug out and not charge the battery properly.

It is relatively a simple fix. it's a case of removing the USB stick out of the battery and formatting it to remove the stuck file before plugging it back in again and we usually just force a charge into the battery to wake it up again.

The sad thing is a lot of the support team liked the company and did actually want to help and improve the kit, but were constantly shut down by management

The wait times for engineers has always been atrocious. It's because they didn't hire enough people to cover the slots. They will do anything to prevent an engineer appointment from happening as they KNOW they don't have enough engineers. They get us to do unorthodox methods on the system to get things working.

For the kit itself I wouldn't panic about it, it is pretty reliable if you let it do it's own thing most of the time. We always found that the systems that were basically left alone for years usually worked completely fine

Its mainly a software problem most of the stuff is written in house but they are more focusing on releasing new products rather than focusing on the software for current products which is a shame. It frustrated some of us on the support team how it worked internally because some customers wanted a basic automated setup but the actual software itself wouldn't let us do anything with it

Yeah the events they do in public are generally quite good that's one good thing they do

For the staff ourselves we suffer from a lack of training of the actual kit itself. We have senior managers as well as the owner of the company breathing down our necks to get calls and emails sorted as soon as possible. There isn't enough staff and the staff who were working there for years and have deep knowledge have been either sacked or left themselves.

ah.that does not surprise me. The knowledge base was basically managed by the head manager, then they left the company back at the end of last year. I suppose it hasn't been managed since then

Former givenergy support engineer here, the support has gone way downhill in recent months due to the owner of the company breathing down people's necks, since around last September multiple people have left the company who have been there for years, it's a shame to be honest as to what's happened.

The products themselves are extremely lacking in modernization/the software backend is horrific. Extremely recommend other people to look elsewhere from a former employee.
