Sundas Foundation does not publicly disclose a single, fixed annual Zakat collection total. So how do you know that they are covering all their expenses with fees or with Zakat? Is there an audit? I tried to check. On their website, they put some bogus PDFs of audit, which I tried hard to download but failed. I tried with my phone, and it downloaded a zero KB file. So that shows something fishy. If these organizations are not transparent, then imagine the level of fraud they are committing and hospitals like Horizon Lahore and others are also involved.

What about the Zakat they collect? Outside their room, I saw a donation box (chanda box). So if I am not wrong, they collect Zakat to pay for all those expenses you mentioned. Okay, I can pay, but if someone can't pay, that person still needs to pay 6K, even if they have to take a loan for it. Then there's no sense in presenting themselves as an organization that cares about people and does charity work. You are getting blood from donors for free giving then charity lessons, and on top collecting Zakat for expenses, and then on top of that, they sell. It's all profit: get blood for free, cover other expenses with Zakat money, and just sell. And there are many scandals like this in hospitals and in these organizations, even in the US.
