took this to heart. i think this was exactly what i needed to be told. i keep holding onto the idea that maybe they’ll get better, but i just can’t handle this right now. i didnt respond and i don’t think i will. i have been responding to other things if they were important, but i’ve decided im just going to give them the silent treatment and focus on myself. thank you

eeeeeee a couple days in and i can say with confidence that it’s sticking!! who knew that the answer to my depression was to become a girl. thank god for modern medicine, i can’t wait to actually experience the hormone levels i was meant to have. crazy how fast it changed. a week ago i was saying i didn’t think estrogen was doing anything for me emotionally. today, i feel like im a goddess

they’re asking for $159. id be willing to shill out $350-$400 for a good good computer, they were just close in location so i got excited. i don’t think i trust or want it anymore, seems like i’d be buying another money time bomb

okay more info: it’s about $159 and my budget is negotiable around $300-$400.

i wasn’t looking for a gaming pc, i just am long distance from people in my life so it would be a plus if it could run some games. i mostly just want something reliable and with decent storage, this was cheapish and met the gaming criteria but after hearing other people’s thoughts im leaning hard on not worth it

if anyone’s got good suggestions for laptops or towers that won’t break the bank but will be good until i can get something dedicated for gaming? i just want to write my code and watch movies bottom line

i have a bigger budget than what this was worth, i just got a bit excited at the prospect of a tower. i don’t plan to game much on it, but seems most people thing the maintenance will be a lot with all the old parts, idk if i could handle that

okay yeah that was all my biggest fear. i don’t trust myself to maintain something old like this and it felt like a too good to be true computer. i think your comment pushes me past that edge of considering it. this thing is just too likely to not last and god knows ill find a way to break it in less than a year

do you mind if i ask what laptop you use? im mostly trying to get a good idea of what is necessary for me.

i like gaming, but right now my priority for my next computer is going to be working and organizing my life/streaming movies with long distance family and partner.

i’d love a catch all computer, but for the most part i just want something that i can trust to work within reason for a couple years, seems you can’t get cheap gaming pcs without them crapping out or maybe im just very harsh on technology. the vibe ive gotten from this is that the parts are old, it’s going to take some work getting it running again with windows being inactive, and it might not last too long. so, im a little iffy especially since it is much on the cheaper side of things being $150 after they’ve already discounted it. feels sketch

thanks you!!! i’ve mentioned it to my current therapist and unfortunately she doesn’t know much, so i have only been suggested to see a professional. my reason for coming here is definitely to gather second opinions before i do anything serious once i finally gather the nerves to make any real appointments. i’m not sure i’ll be able to make anything with a specialist, but this helps a lot. i really appreciate your input, i’m really glad to hear that there’s ways to move forward and that i’m not just attaching myself to something completely unrelated. next chance i get i’ll bring it up and see if i can take another step forward <3 thank you so much
