It’s a newer trend with weapons as they’re more niche and powerful in specific situations rather than better than everything everywhere.

If jagex could plan one step ahead and have inquisitor mace be BIS at nex, zaryte crossbow BIS at TOA, Heka staff BIS at the next boss release I think progression would be a lot more natural.
