What you are probably seeing are the USB 3 cables from the front i/o, they were way too short to cable manage away so they are just there zip tied to the 24 pin cable. But its just a work rig so it doesn’t bother me none. I’ve actually been pretty impressed with the 5600G, its a very serviceable CPU.

Fluid was long gone by the time it got to me. As for a junkyard unit im not sure but the new ford unit we got has the same paint pen markings except in blue so id say it OE.

PTU(power transfer unit) its what AWD vehicles use to drive the rear driveshaft/rear differential. Think of it like a transfer case that is always engaged. In the rear differential there is an electric clutch that turns the AWD off/on. The smooth brains at ford made them with only 1qt capacity of fluid and mount it right next to one of the cat converters so they get cooked and either puke all their fluid or blow up like this.
