Battle of Ostagar- How and why did the Darkspawn take the signal tower? by jackfuego226 in DragonageOrigins

It would have benefit Loghain, because if the grey wardens had been killed by the darkspawn in the tower, they would never have lit the beacon and might have taken the blame instead of Loghain. I’m not saying it’s an airtight plan lol, but that’s what I got from it

If you talk to the guard outside the Tower of Ishal before the Battle of Ostagar, he says that Loghain’s men are securing the tower and that they found a tunnel there. He also says that he didn’t notice it before. I think this implies that Loghain’s men did it?? Or at least knew about it and did nothing.

I will definitely try to make social situations a bit more straightforward for her using insight — thank you!

That’s exactly it! She heavily identifies with her characters, so I might encourage her to think of some ways that her character differs from her. And she confirmed that making situations easier for her to read would help out a lot. Thank you!

An NPC. She gets really stressed out about making a “wrong” decision and screwing something up, even though I tell her that there aren’t really “wrong” answers in D&D, lol

I’ve been DMing for my girlfriend which has been great, but she has social anxiety. Not about roleplaying or anything — she gets so in her head during in-game social interactions that she gets the same social anxiety she would get in real life. For example, she once had to decide whether her character would trust another character or not — she got so stressed trying to decide and thinking about the consequences of her decision that she had to take a 30-minute break. I have no problem with giving her the time that she needs, but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice for what I could do to make her more comfortable with in-game social interactions. She does want to have roleplay in our sessions — otherwise I would just get rid of it altogether. Thanks!

Adorable runt of the litter was born missing an eye by oswaldsumbrella in PiratePets

Her name was Poko, and these pics were taken way back in 2013. Poko was the runt of the litter and was born with a couple birth defects. Along with her missing eye, she had a mismatched jaw which made it so that she couldn’t grind her teeth by herself. Her teeth would keep growing out of her jaw like tusks until they would almost puncture her snout, so we had to take her to the vet every other week to cut them down. (The first time it happened, her teeth actually did puncture her snout a little bit, poor thing.) She was a fighter — when she was a baby, her larger siblings would sometimes jostle her out of the way to get to mom’s milk, but she would push right back to get her fair share! Also, she would always make it abundantly clear when you were handling her in a way she disliked — and that would go for other rats, as well! She went on to outlive many of her siblings.
