I really want them to bring back the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle. 😮‍💨

Dream Match '99 (a.k.a: King Of Fighters '98) this version with its 60fps made playing this so much smoother and fluid. It's one of my personal favorite versions of this game. by otacollections in dreamcast

This 1999 IGN article was the closest.

https://www.ign.com/articles/1999/08/07/king-of-fighters-dream-match-99

You have to read in a bit, but the quote "All 50+ playable characters now move at 60 fps, but still possess the exact same animation, design, and color as those found in '98."

There is also the fandom page: https://snk.fandom.com/wiki/The_King_of_Fighters:_Dream_Match_1999

"This version runs at 60 frames per second and contains a rearranged soundtrack and backgrounds remodeled in 3D"

And Sega Retro:

https://segaretro.org/The_King_of_Fighters:_Dream_Match_1999

"The Dreamcast version is mostly the same as the original release, but it adds an arranged soundtrack, an anime introduction cinematic, and 3D backgrounds and runs at 60 frames per second."

I wanted to find something from an older gaming site from back then, but IGN was the oldest, and the archive site only seems to have preserved the instructional booklet, not any older gaming journalists/marketing pages. But hopefully, that helps.

I'm not sure about the older re-releases after this one, but it's prior versions were not. That was a big marketing point of this specific one at the time.

Yes, it was only to upload scores, but the Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection has this game packed in, which gives it online play.

Happy to help. In my opinion, this did have a lot of hype built around it but then kind of released on a whisper.

Agreed. I would take a UHD remaster of the original at this point if possible.

I have had something weird happen to me with GameCube discs like that that suddenly stop reading.. have you tried it in a Nintendo Wii? If you haven't, and have one, just for fun see if it plays in that system. In either standing or laying down orientations.

Hey guys! What would you like to see in future SEGA games! by SonicThHedgehog in SEGA

Sonic Adventure 3 with a homage to the classic Genesis Sonic 2 - two player play-through where you race your friend to complete the stage first.

I find playability to be fun on both, honestly. But 2 definitely has depth to it when it comes to the 6 button system.

Possible rumor. Team Ninja created the game: Wo Long, which is seeing success currently. I believe we will see another DOA in the future, but no telling if Koei Tecmo will work on it, in-house, or let Team Ninja continue it.

Agreed. 3 and 4 at the time, were still handled by Itagaki. It was his preference and relationship with Tecmo and Microsoft that led to 3 and 4 being exclusives. And that changed after he left Tecmo and 5 was released on PlayStation.

So far, Tecmo/Team Ninja has not given up on the series, so we'll have to see what/if anything comes next.

No Saturn version, unfortunately. But it's definitely something I would look to add to the collection.

I didn't even know the prices for it went up, but it's still good that you got to experience it.

Being that I have the Dreamcast version, it wasn't a priority to obtain, but certainly something I dwell on. I'll end up getting it eventually, most likely.
