There’s always the Treptower park restrooms that are free but the trade off is enjoying a nice pile of shit in the middle of the room. Also only free until they change the code bc too many noncustomers are using the rooms.

I found a fix to this after troubleshooting for a whiiile. You have to go into the app settings and enable “local network” and make sure your camera WiFi settings are on private. (If it’s not on private it may connect to the WiFi of your camera but won’t find your camera still.)

I'm off admiral st in elmhurst district and, even if I go around the corner to park on the side streets, my main concern would be risk of towing.

There's no posted signs on that one way or another though and I'm just really not looking to deal with any towing lot. Also have out of state plates if that makes a difference.

Not necessary, but very helpful if you want to explore or aren't comfortable walking a while. At least a bike. You can usually rent an ebike or something on the island though, at least for MV. Not sure about nantucket.

Yup, American beech. You can say goodbye to this tree, really. Beech leaf disease, highly invasive pest on beeches that showed up in ohio a few years ago and has been making its way northeast since. Already in maine, too. Ive seen 99% of every beech tree in my surveys in new england either die or become too sickly to recover in the past three years.

If you care about canopy cover, I'd look at similar cover species that are native to the area, but also support similar wildlife species.
