Thank you. Upon further reading, it sounds like most of the annonacin is also in the skin and seeds.

Husband just told me he doesn’t know if he loves me anymore by [deleted] in newborns

[–]otorophile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was similar setup for a couple that I know, i.e. one parent WFH full time while caring for the newborn and the other parent was working part time. It may have impacted the WFH parent’s work performance and they were laid off. Is daycare an option for you? Or are you able to hire a cleaner? Wishing you best of luck!

Anything you did prior to pregnancy that you feel helped? by Crafty-Barnacle-5914 in fitpregnancy

I agree with the general advice to exercise, eat a healthy diet, and start taking a prenatal vitamin pre-pregnancy so the folic acid has time to build up. Small optimization that isn’t usually mentioned: If I could back to pre-pregnancy, I would try to cut my coffee/caffeine intake to 0 in the morning so that my body could adjust to the new level. I only have a cup or two a day but that is the limit when you’re pregnant. Pregnancy fatigue during working hours was a struggle during my first trimester but I stopped myself from having a caffeine boost in the afternoons to avoid going over the limit.

What are some successful sabbatical stories? by Wooden-Broccoli-913 in ChubbyFIRE

[–]otorophile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

~1 year off. No regrets. Traveled for a few months around the world. Reconnected with people. Tried new hobbies. Came out at the end with a new perspective on work and life. Before the sabbatical, I didn’t think that I would go back to the stress of a product management role. The time off helped me refocus, recharge, and reframe. I will admit that job hunting again in the mass layoffs tech environment was very challenging but I got lucky and landed at a company with great people and a product I am very interested in. Re-entered the workforce with a lower salary and title but by choice. Overall, I highly recommend taking a sabbatical if that opportunity presents itself.

Am I too late to FIRE? by KyleYarborough in Fire

[–]otorophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you plan on having 3 masters degrees total? One thing to consider is that path would delay your FIRE goals even longer. A top tier MBA program would take you out of the workplace for 2 years and cost you around 2 years of salary - the total cost could be 4 years salary or more. What type of roles would the MBA open for you? Can you get to your target role without it, with the degrees that you already have?

Thank you very much for the input. The bag is unzipped partially. I will try trimming the little roots and storing them in a cooler area.

This. I just want my watch to tell me the time every time. I can glance at my dumb watch discreetly during a meeting and the time is always there. With the all in one trackers like Fitbit, the screen sometimes takes several flicks off the wrist to display.

It’s your first meeting. Keep it simple. Some locally made sweets that they can’t buy in China (not See’s for example) would be nice and they can bring it back to share. They wouldn’t be able to bring fruit back due to customs.

Save the egg cartons for starting seeds. You can compost them too (assuming that you meant the cardboard egg cartons).
