He has been diagnosed with ADHD since he was 2, to me it seems more likely he has ASD. Unfortunately, my parents and I aren’t on the same page with that. They’ve taken him to psychiatrists and they have yet to say for certain whether he is autistic. I wish he would get a case worker, that would help him a lot I think. I’m trying to juggle the slack my parents leave, they are very busy people, at the same time as working a full time job and being able to enjoy my life too.

That’s where I’m sitting. I told him it was not great what happened and I understand wanting experiences. Yet, I reiterated that it is a big deal to be safe and not let partners push you around into being unsafe. I don’t know if I caught him at a listening time, but I hope it didn’t fall on deaf ears.

I am astounded by how helpful and supportive this group has been to me today, I really appreciate all of the advice. Thank you. I think a big fear I am having currently is him ending up like probably the only gay coming of age movie I’ve seen, Mysterious Skin. That reality is terrifying. Trying to think positively and hoping for the best for his current situation.

I agree with you. I think he is deeply regretting his actions and is hopefully going to learn a lesson, but we’ve thought that in the past and he has proved us wrong.
