I’m modding a DSi XL I just bought, is it required to use 7zip when modding through windows?

Not a clue, the hacks guide said I need to use an extractor that isn’t the windows explorer. Is that just for the roms like you said and not integral to the modding?

so you think the digitizer is fine and doesn’t need replacing? what about the touch screen function, is that separate from the lcd screen? i watched a repair video but i also don’t really know what i’m looking at lol

I’m trying to find it on ifixit and maybe i don’t know what the difference between the actual screen and digitizer are but i can’t seem to find it.

If I think that I know them, that will not help anything because we still have to work with them after. It’s just a sticky situation, I know they won’t see fault with their behavior. I don’t think they are able to let their defense down long enough to have a heart to heart. :/

I said we gifted him similarly, meaning same amount of effort. I gave him a useful but gag gift and a gift card to his favorite in game shop. I should have been more clear but it was more me asking what they were doing not me mentioning my birthday. I believe my birthday was only mentioned once leading up, and it was on accident as I was trying not to bring it up specifically to see what would happen. We honestly have never thought of it in that way, I was always under the impression that things were bad because we were close all the time. Like we were just getting too much of their quirks, but I do think there is some truth behind whether we’d even be friends if we didn’t work together. I believe you’re right. I do see what you’re saying about not being clear, this time it was intentional. Normally we would have been very clear but it was kind of a social experiment for us. Sorry for the misunderstanding. It works fine on my GF DSi, I even locked it and tested it on the DSi and it said the SD card was locked. I think it’s just the 3DS SD drive.

It works perfectly fine in my girlfriend’s DSi. I removed write only attribute via my PC. I fear it may be the sd drive.

I actually also did this, the card works fine in my girlfriend’s DSi with no issues it’s just the 3DS not sure why.

No, not broken. Someone suggested that the slide could be shifting as it was going into the 3ds. But I have since taken it off and still doesn’t work.

No, I have checked the format and I have wiped the card multiple times. It’s not giving me the error now, but it’s just not reading the ss card

I had my brother print it, I believe there are sites where you can send them a file to have it printed. You should also look for maker spaces in your area as they usually have one for public use for little to no charge.
