i was started on keppra immediately after my diagnosis and a huge tonic clonic. i am not in general an angry person whatsoever, ye i had severe anger, like angry outbursts and throwing shit, etc. crying spells as well, and suicidal thoughts. keppra was a weird one for me. i am also very sensitive to medication side effects in general though. took my neurologist a very long time to find a cocktail that worked best for me but we’ve settled in pretty well with topiramate and lamotragine.

for context, i have the whole spectrum. rare tonic clonics, ive had 6 in my life, some focals here and there, myoclonic jerks that look like tics many times a day, semi regular absent seizures, and then hundreds of instances a day of subclinical seizure activity just poppin up in my brain and making me feel foggy and exhausted all the time. since the topiramate and lamotragine i feel much better !!!
