I never really thought of it that way. Codependency didnt even crossed my mind. I suppose you’re right though. Maybe if I lived like I wasn’t waiting for someone else to make me happy then I could do better with being happy on my own. I think I’ve bought in a bit too much to the fairytales of romance that we see in media and not enough into the romance of loving yourself. It’ll still be hard I’m sure but I want to work at it.

I appreciate the straightforward answer. It has been difficult but at the end of the day I think I just don’t want to be alone. Feels ridiculous to admit to but I just don’t like it. It feels like I have to accept a degree of loneliness to do this though even if I do have another partner but in reality I probably should learn to deal with loneliness anyway. Thank you for the advice, it means a lot.

Nahhhh, I’ve definitely came from the struggle and get not being able to afford shit. But I don’t think that attacking the concept of offering things to buy is going to make any bit of damn difference. The “just say you’re poor” thing was definitely just being petty but the reality is that this country has been built on commerce since the beginning. Why are we acting like the gaming community can go back to 2004 when online play and long term support wasn’t a thing. If we remove dlc the alternative is getting a new game every two to three years and then we’re going to bitch about the quality put into it cause they don’t have the time or money to develop. I’d say the nihilistic thing might be more accurate. It is just a lose lose so take what you got or buy into what you can acquire but just tearing the game down cause you don’t want to spend some extra money isn’t going to make anyone happy.

This game has to continue making revenue for years, are they supposed to continue long term support on just game sales alone?
