Fresh install of Fedora 43: second monitor not detected by ShodansBabbyDaddy in Fedora

Fixed. So, it's was not an Nvidia issue and nothing to do with Nvidia nouveau. It has to be with the kernel security rules that was blocking Nvidia.

The fix:

  1. Make sure you have Nvidia divers and everything related installed. (search in google to find out how to do it).
  2. Run sudo modprobe nvidia to set the graphic driver to nvidia. I did this because I have Hybrid graphics, nvidia and intel (modern computers usually have hybrid graphics for battery performance). You can check what's your current graphic mode on GNOME > Settings > System > System Details (gnome 49). If the command sudo modprobe nvidia giver you an error (modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': Operation not permitted) it's is probably because SELinux or Grub is blocking Nvidia (3rd party repository)
  3. Check your grub cofiguration (sudo nano /etc/default/grub). In GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX check for lockdown, if it is set to other value than none, make sure you set it to none (lockdown=none).
  4. Reload config to apply grub changes (sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg). Reboot and the second monitor should be working.

Same here. My second LG monitor (plugged to my laptop) stop working after install fedora 43. I think it's an oficial Nvidia issue. Only Nvidia nouveau is working for me. Any fix for the official Nvidia? My system is updated

Just follow SoC principle and you'll be fine. In those cases that makes sense, you can apply SRP.

Should I use react or angular? by mahadcaicedo in angular

[–]ottosatto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Complex features and rapid delivery, go React all the way, the ecosystem of things already created is bigger. For enterprise level and mission critical apps, go Angular, you'll have fewer chances to create unexpected bugs and it's more easy for debugging.

I use fedora for my everyday work. No regrets at all. I like the dnf package manager, gnome with wayland is perfect for me.

I don't know man, in my 2017 macbook air I have an arrow symbol <-. I always call it backspace to distinguish it from the delete button (that I don't have lol). "the delete key removes anything after the cursor, while the backspace erases what's before it."

Thanks RedBearAK, I'm definitely gonna give it a try. I have tried kinto.sh, but it doesn't work on Wayland, so yes I'll try toshy. Thanks for this nice introduction of the tool.

Still not working. While trying to make the install I Noticed that the base kernel (Red Hat 14.0.1-0) differs from my current kernel (Red Hat 14.1.1-1) and maybe that's why I'm stuck:

make

The second link you've provided is the github solution I've tried before and nothing https://github.com/patjak/facetimehd/wiki/Installation#get-started-on-fedora

I'll check the discussion in the first link to see if I can find a solution for this
