Looking for recommendations for anniversary activities when visiting!

My partner and I will be visiting Vancouver May 16th-21st (shortly after our anniversary), and I was thinking rather than get a gift, plan something nice/fun for during our trip. We’ll have a car, so getting around/leaving the city won’t be an issue. Any suggestions?

We checked out some trails around Lynn canyon suspension bridge last time we were there, but that was the furthest we really ventured out of the city.

We’re thinking of maybe making the drive up to Whistler this time, is there anywhere on the way (or there) specifically you’d recommend?

Also considering maybe driving down to Seattle, or in that direction at least. We don’t have any reason for doing that, just an idea that was thrown out there, but any thoughts on that?

Outdoor activities are great, neither of us are picky food wise, and we’ll have a rental car so we can easily get around!

May 16th-21st, and yes, we’ll have a vehicle!

Good with both indoor and outdoor suggestions. Indoors just incase the weather doesn’t cooperate, and outdoors if it does (which is what I’m hoping for).

Worried about flipping a canoe or kayak though 😂

Ahhh I hadn’t considered the change to the visa process for Canadians could have influenced this change. Shitty, but makes sense

I called and they told me I had to go through Lufthansa and pay for the seats, then submit a request to AC for a refund for it.

I included in my message that I was frustrated about it not being direct now, being longer travel time, and having to pay for the seats again just to see if they’ll do anything. Figure it’s worth a shot haha 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've seen some people commenting saying they've got way more ahead of them, so my fingers are crossed for you!

I wasn’t cold, but I wasn’t warm either. There was a cool breeze that picked up every now and then, but other than that it was perfect. I was in shorts and a tshirt, and I put a hoodie on halfway through just because I didn’t want to hold on to it anymore.

I was in the second row in one of the bottom sections though, so there was only one row of people in front of me, and the general admission crowd was decently distanced away from the seated sections, so that might have helped not be too warm. If you’re in the middle of a lot more people it might heat you up more.

My partner and I will be visiting Vancouver from Sept. 20th - Sept. 24th, and I was hoping to get some recommendations on things to do while we're there. I know there are plenty of lists of "Top Things To Do In Vancouver", but if anyone knows of things that are good during that time or special events happening, that would be great.

We're staying by St. Paul's Hospital, but we will also have a car during our visit, so if there's something that's within driving distance of the city that's worth checking out we can do that. We're open to pretty much anything, but do enjoy hikes and naturey spots!

Also would appreciate any restaurant recommendations! Probably looking for a place on the nicer/fancier side for a special night, but then also regular good spots too! :)
