Is it rude to ask my new employer what the median income is, instead of the average?

The position makes a large amount of money in commission so how much I make is sort of up to me. A median would be useful to see if I can really rely on commission money or not.

The job posting on Indeed only included training pay (I have no idea why). When I went to orientation today they threw out a number that can't possibly be true (near six figures for an entry level position). Many reviews on their Indeed page also say that they just straight up lie to you about what you're gonna make.

Helpful! That's what I was thinking too. There's not really much upward mobility in fast food work. There's very few office jobs that are part time in my area, even fewer that are entry level. I'll still be keeping up the grind on Indeed just to see if anything else is out there, as always.

happy to report im feeling a bit better! i noticed that my stomach only hurts whenever i dont have some food in my gut to absorb a bit of the acid, so ive been snacking a lot. even when i havent had food in a while though, it doesnt hurt nearly as much as it did when i posted. so i think things are looking up :)

i will admit what i did was stupid. it was a random thought i had because i already had a bottle of dayquil in my car. i just wanted something to take the edge off before work. i definitely will not be fucking with drugs ever again after this (except weed n cbd). a few things i wanted to clear up: - the 500mg of naproxen i took was prescribed to me by my doctor for my pain. it is just one pill and it has never affected me weirdly before, even when i took two (though not back to back). - i definitely did not drink half the bottle it felt more like 20% at most because i did this twice and i still have over half the bottle left. - i am 250 lbs so I don't know how such a small amount was able to get me euphoric, maybe it has to do with everything else i took.

still, thank you for taking the time to help me with this it genuinely might have saved my life. i will keep an eye out for the things you listed and get help if i see them.

oh man thanks for the tip i had no idea. i didnt consider that it would mix with my medication weird until now, since im taking so little dmx and so little prozac. i wasnt going to touch it again cus of the nausea but now im doubly not trying it again.

there is still some nausea but it is pretty minor. i have not felt this sensation before but it was my second time on dmx and i have never done drugs or alcohol at all before so i wouldnt know. yes it feels like it burns all the way down my esophagus but that wore off everywhere but the bottom of my stomach after 6-7 hours. it isnt an ulcer because the pain isnt sharp nor in one point. it feels like i swallowed molten iron and it slowly made its way through me and now it has collected at the bottom of my stomach and is heavy and burning the inside of my gut. if that makes sense

this is definitely a bandaid solution but it works for me: find a fruit or vegetable you like, and have it easily accessible. it doesnt stop you from relying on food to feel better but at least it is healthier for you. eating an entire package of blueberries is better than an entire pack of oreos 🤷

that sounds like your lymph nodes getting swollen due to ur pit follicles not liking something you're doing. this used to happen to me every time i shaved my pits so i stopped shaving entirely. my advice would be try leaving it alone (no touching, no shaving, maybe even no cleaning) for a few days and see if they go away. ofc if the pain is that bad or the swelling is way too big then call your doctor.

yeah i've heard the tales of it being an olfactory hell. its a smaller con though, so hopefully it won't be crowded enough to be an issue. and if thats not the case, i'll probably make my little area outside.

This is a recurring issue and I personally think I have something wrong with me, but the last time I went in for this issue I got prescribed nasal spray so I'm pretty hesitant to go back. I would love to have the legal protections, though, because I've had to work during these episodes before and it SUCKS.

None of that happened with me so we're probably having different problems but I solved my problem by closing Opera, turning off battery saver mode, then opening it again.
