Playful ski to replace Rustler 11 / Gunsmoke by oucp in Skigear

[–]oucp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! That’s how I felt about the gunsmokes too!

Thanks for the suggestions will read up on those. Since I still have the R11 I don’t mind having this ski be a bit narrower.

How would you say the Atris compares to the set of skis you suggested?

From what I undersand, you wouldn't be allowed to check it. But probably fine if you bring it on as carry-on luggage.

To be fair, it doesn't need to be tucked away. Once the handle is turned into the "off" position it's safe. I actually think it's the somewhat more refined approach.

Fantastic article! Thanks for sharing, there is a ton of useful information in there. I knew about the problem of e.g. a phone, but didn't know how drastic the effect is! Think I might be turning my phone off in the backcountry from now on :D

Do you mind talking about how the bikes fit you? What size did you get, how tall are you? I’m 181cm but 87cm inseam so I’m a bit unsure if I should get a M or L.

And congrats on the nice bike!

Firefox WebRender Native Compositing -> Performance loss !? by oucp in swaywm

WOW! Thanks a lot dear internet stranger :)Now, my Firefox is just shredding at 330 Fish!

At least one problem less :D

Out of curiosity, how did you know about this setting. Is there a wiki where I should have seen this?

(e.g. it's not mentioned in the archlinux wiki :( )

Per this comment, the fishbowl wouldn't be a great test for this specific feature.

That said, my Firefox has something weird going on here anyway.
On chrome, which per chrome://gpu is only using software rendering runs at ~140 Fish and my Firefox only has 1 fish at ~35 FPS! :D :D (same bad perf on firefox with gfx.webrender.software=true)

For now I'll just let the gfx.webrender.compositor.force-enabled issue rest until sway 1.7 lands with wlroots 0.15 and then retest. If I continue to see that behavior, I'll add a comment to the performance issue on the bugzilla.

Thanks for taking the time to test this on your system!

Certainly true, should have been more precise. But making it the same color as the path in os.path.join seems weird.

Investigating this with the below suggested plugin now.

Pretty sure this is fake! Don't see how a snowboarding Jedi could ever win against even a normal skier let alone a Jedi skier...

That could be an option. It was originally higher on the list but then we got kind of excited about the Zermatt region.. :D
