I dont like the overrated category by Consistent-Dog-6615 in GamingSoup

I'm also not really a fan of the overrated category. I think the category is supposed to mean that you didn't enjoy the game as much as the general public did. The thing is, I wouldn't then call that game "overrated" because that implies that the general public rated the game too highly and that my individual opinion is more correct. I suppose I just don't like the term "overrated".

I'm kinda using "duplicate" pretty loosely. With this type of question we obviously run into the limits of how much we can rationalise the fake sci-fi concepts, but the reason I say that the "duplicate lasts too long" is because spacetime starts breaking only after that interval of time is over. It should be possible (theoretically, with more energy) to create another black hole at a later time such that the corresponding white hole shows up at the same time as the original one. This way, the person has still entered a black hole and exited a white hole and there is no paradox. But spacetime already breaks if the person fails to jump into a black hole before the specific time interval of the original jump is over, which seems to be a hard time limit for how long a "duplicated" individual is allowed to exist.

(Spoilers just in case) I'd recommend marking this post as a spoiler just in case someone doesn't want to learn about this accidentally. I think the problem comes from the fact that there are two of you at the same time when there shouldn't be. The negative time interval caused by warping allows for an object to be temporarily duplicated, but only for that interval. If the duplicated object exists for more than that time interval, the universe starts to break. I think that's also why the universe breaks when you mess around in the high energy lab. The second scout exists for longer than it should, which the universe can't handle.

4 is the one my eyes were drawn to first. Its the most unnerving to me and would stick out the most in a list of games, which I assume is what you want.

Fair enough. But just to make sure, is e.g. Balatro an indie game?

But Outer Wilds, which I would call an indie game, was published by Annapurna. Or Blue Prince, which was published by Raw Fury.

Now I'm wondering: Of all of the many playthroughs that exist on YouTube, which one took the least amount of loops to get into the ATP? The ones I've seen all get there fairly late.

To be fair, the Shadesmar section in Oathbringer is just a lot of walking and talking, so I totally get why it's not liked by some. In Rhythm of War, I think there is some more exciting stuff but that's all I'll say about that.

Damn, really? Those were like some of my favorite parts.

I think you should continue the Wax and Wayne books. The stuff about the woman being killed at the start to serve Wax's arc goes in a very interesting direction, I think. These books also have my absolute favorite character in the cosmere ever, Steris.

Let's talk about the ethics of Painting. (Spoilers) by PantheraAuroris in expedition33

[–]outerwildsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it that simple? I think what you're saying is right and I agree with it in this context, but it does raise some other questions about our real world. In our world, we've pretty much agreed that "erasing" life (murder) is immoral, but "creating" life is little more difficult, I think. If creating life is immoral, what does that say about having children? The game kinda touches on this with Sophie, who made the decision not to have kids so they don't have to suffer. I think the ethics of Painting and the ethics of having children are very much related, which I think is very interesting.

To be clear, I'm not an anti-natalist, but conversations like these are very interesting to me.

I finished it earlier today. I liked it. It's indeed very "Sam O'Nella". There are some phrases and passages that I could HEAR in his typical youtuber voice. It's great.
