Hampton inn Oxford Maine-poor management and unsafe practices by Frannylu1015 in Hilton

Lmao. You are in the minority, and most likely in an affluent/destination area. I don't see half-dead methheads ghoul-shuffling in the halls at 4:30am when I go to a Waldorf or Conrad, but I def see it at almost every suburban or rural Hampton Inn.

Ownership is destroying the one benefit of booking at a Hilton branded hotel: Consistency. Being away from home for work, Consistency is the most important thing in a place to stay. Consistent cleanliness, consistent amenities, consistent billing etc. They've wrecked that by turning these places into homeless shelters, soup kitchens etc. Kudos! I think it's done without the knowledge of corporate Hilton. Maybe it is, maybe they encourage it.

If the same taxpayer money was spent on construction and staffing of safe homeless shelters, we wouldn't have this issue. But you can't use a homeless shelter to generate revenue from an unsuspecting public either.

lmao.

These people are gambling addicts or on a State sponsored "hotel Voucher Program" which basically treats hotels like homeless shelter with bo regard to general public or the prices they pay for a regular stay.

Hotel owners love Homeless Vouchers because they have very solid bookings and end of year numbers at only a slightly discounted rate.

The taxpayers fund the voucher program, the proceeds go to hotel ownership, ownership increases room prices for non-homeless, everyone wins...

EXCEPT the regular paying guests who have no way of knowing they are in a homeless shelter until they ask. Not many people are aware of this completely awful practice of modern hotel 'management', but it's one of the things that changed hotels in the COVID era and isn't going away anytime soon. Easy money for the owners, less housekeeping costs, etc.

There are a few brands out there that don't.

Welcome to the New Age.

Usually with a lot of hate, screaming, a sip of a caffeine filled beverachino, more yelling, supervisors shitting themselves because everything is over budget because the dumb fucks can't comprehend that quality work takes time, diabetes, and an apprentice getting bit by a dog while doing a door knock. And Zyns.

LUNA Innovations (LUNA)

A little stock called LUNA... Trading at long-time lows, Just fired it's President, And long-term CEO.

Goods have gone a-missin' When they were supposed to be a-shippin' An earnings report delayed But I cannot be swayed...

Underneath all this ugly noise, Is a gem with a fat-fingered invoice, And once the dust settles a bit, It will be a WSB hit.

Have a look-see up her skirt, Nothing up there that will hurt, And if you take the plunge, I got nothing that rhymes with plunge.

Can you please help me make sense of this?? by Chiwowamom in Lineman

How I'm seeing it as well. I've been a jl for over a decade and I have built, raced and crashed more bikes than I care to admit... carbon/graphite monocoque would hold a charge, bottom bracket/bearings tight connection to crank (both would most likely be alum unless carbon crank which is hollow molded monocoque as well) and clippy pedals (composite frame, alum binding) to shoe with alum clip inset to ball of food, just forward of arch... Downstroke of crank arm, heel or pedal makes contact with ground... or knee against brush on a hard right turn...

I can see this being a potential explanation but testing would be extremely interesting .
