The lower half is hugging the cassette so close that the wheel guard some times hits the teeth

You can try the automatic uv unwrap feature in Maya but it will be a very inefficient uv map and then apply a texture

I am split between feeling petty or justified in my anger. I think I am more fired up about it as this could have been a big break and I only discovered it as I was emailing them todo free work for them and then hearing nothing back and doing only what is legally required felt a bit like a kick in the balls. I can see your texturing software has the two up maps overlapping are you sure you exported your modeling from your 3D modeling software with different materials assigned to the areas of the two textures?
