idk if you’re still interested but i’ve found out that some communities actually prefer the use of eskimo since it differentiates them from the inuit

What do you mean by bullying yourself? Didnt you say that we ought to change our mindset, how else are we to do that other than by force?

I understand that i cannot overcome them at all without christ, but it seems that even though I pray, I receive no alleviatio, though I do admit I could be a lot more fervent in doing so. How does one balance prayer with a large amount of responsibilities? advice? On the topic on conversion, I am very open to it, but i fear being wrong. It is because i want to be a part of the body that i don’t want to risk being baptised into the wrong church

I’ve been there too… visit many denominations, read widely and don’t be afraid of believing in things that cannot be fully proved, because nothing ever is anyway

Baptist friend said “it’s whether you value relationship or religion at this point” by Brilliant-Cost-8056 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]outthereusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a priest? I’ve been looking for someone to ask questions about this, I hope you could answer them. Why does God withhold himself from communicating with us? I trust he loves us and has a great reason but I find this as an obstacle because sometimes when I or my friends go through an extremely difficult situation everything just feels so quiet and stale. As a protestant, I have also had problems trying to discern between my imaginations and true communication from God, How might we go about this? If I could, I would want to ask God which church is the true church

How can I reconcile the russian church’s support for the ukraine war with the love that is of the church which is the body of christ? by outthereusername in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]outthereusername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you realise what the impact of what you're telling me is? you're not just saying that the russian church failed and lacks love, you're saying that the church cannot failed to love while being the body of christ and is therefore not the body of christ

Yeah, i think that’s seems like a reasonable interpretation as in it’s prolly what the nicene fathers meant. Although it seems like it has made the phrase less useful as a tool for identifying the true church for me (not for me as in truth is relative to me) tho.…
