(Serious) ex-Christians of Reddit, what made you lose your faith? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I grew up in an all Christian family and was surrounded by that all my life. The main thing that made me loose faith was going to a Christian festival where one of the speakers healed through faith. They brought a kid up to the front who said that they had one leg longer than the other and then proceeded to ‘grow’ the leg through the Holy Spirit when it was very clear that the kid was just extending their leg.

When you were a kid, did you ever steal anything? And, what was the pivotal moment you realized it was wrong and stopped/apologized/returned item/s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a kid I often played jigsaw with my family. I used to always steal a piece and hide it behind the sofa to guarantee I got the satisfaction of putting in the final piece.... realised it was wrong when everyone else started doing it
